Microsoft Edge is the name of the one of the most important new features in Windows 10: the new web browser that will eventually replace Internet Explorer (IE). Up until now, the company wasn’t ready to let users testing Windows 10 beta releases check out the minimal new browser intended to make people forget about how stale IE has grown.

But that has changed, as the company just released a new Windows 10 beta version that includes the Microsoft Edge browser.

With a month to go until Windows 10 will be available to download as a free upgrade to all Windows 7 and Windows 8 users, Windows 10 build 10158 brings a variety of new features in addition to the new Microsoft Edge browser.

You can expect “improvements and refinement” across the user interface, a close-to-final Cortana experience, Cortana integration with Office 365 and an updated Photos app for Windows 10. Finally, Microsoft said in its new Windows 10 announcement that preview releases of Windows 10 SDK will be available for testing beginning on July 1st.

Also important is Microsoft Wi-Fi support, Engadget notes, which replaces Skype Wi-Fi and allows users to connect to various hotspots around the world. However, Microsoft doesn’t list the feature in its blog post detailing Tuesday’s new Windows 10 build .
