The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge aren’t just the most impressive Android smartphones that Samsung has ever made, they’re likely the most impressive Android smartphones the world has ever seen. Featuring sleek premium designs and cutting-edge internal components, these flagship smartphones are a cut above anything else on the market right now in terms of style and performance.

But as much as you’ve read about Samsung’s new flagship phones — and even if you own one yourself — there are still plenty of hidden features that you had no idea were buried in the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.

Samsung’s latest high-end smartphones are packed full of great new features that users can spend days or even weeks exploring. But despite how long you navigate through all of the Galaxy S6’s apps and settings menus, there are some hidden features that you’ll never come across unless you know exactly how to enable them.

For example, did you know that they Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge have a built-in feature that will let you record all of your phone calls? Did you know that you can keep playing music while you use the camera or schedule SMS messages to send at a later time in the default messaging app?

Now, before we go any further it’s important to note that you’ll need to root your smartphone in order to enable these secret hidden features. If you don’t know what “root” means or you aren’t interested in rooting your phone, you should probably move along now.

  • Enable WiFi calling in phone settings
  • Enable native voice call recording
  • Enable shutter sound switch in camera settings
  • Enable camera during call
  • Enable manual rotation option in gallery

And the best part, assuming you’ve already rooted your Galaxy phone, is that it’s pretty easy to enable any or all of these features as long as you have a root explorer and a text editor installed.
