Looking at the sales figures over the past few years, it’s hard not to see the Wii U as a major disappointment for Nintendo. Keith Stuart at The Guardian highlights the disparity between the console’s performance and its stellar lineup with a list of 16 games that prove the Wii U is never a bad choice if you’re looking for quality content.

Several of the game on Stuart’s list are no-brainers, such as Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bros., but this just goes to show how consistently great Nintendo’s first-party offerings can be.

Also on the list are several games that haven’t launched yet, including Yoshi’s Woolly World, Splatoon, Star Fox and the recently-delayed Legend of Zelda game. Nintendo has been especially slow over the past few years when it comes to refreshing its most popular non-Mario franchises, but we’re hoping that it’ll be worth the wait.
