Samsung’s new Galaxy S6 models aren’t waterproof like their predecessor is, but they can still handle a little water – at least that’s what a new video from TechSmartt seems to indicate.

DON’T MISS: Samsung Galaxy S6 review

TechSmartt let the phone soak in water for more than 20 minutes, taking it out from time to time only to make sure the phone was still working and that the timer was still counting down.

The phone kept running even when submerged underwater and continued working when taken out of the bowl. The device will take some water damage the longer it stays underwater. Once it’s picked up and dried, we can clearly see that water did penetrate into the device

Furthermore, the phone’s cameras are foggy in the video, and rebooting the phone after being taken out of water can be problematic. The Galaxy S6 edge will turn on, but might get stuck in a boot loop.

However, the main point of the video seems to be that the phone turns back on after taking a quick dip, suggesting the Galaxy S6 edge, and possibly the Galaxy S6 as well, can survive spills and splashes.

The full video showing this Galaxy S6 torture test follows below.
