Samsung appears to be very interested in everyone knowing about its advancements in cellphone camera technology, with a few weeks to go until the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge will be officially introduced. After posting earlier this week an extensive report about the evolution of its camera phones, in which it clearly stated that the next flagship handset will be even better than predecessors, the company is back with a neat infographic that basically tells the same story.

FROM EARLIER: The best Galaxy S6 news yet might have just been confirmed

Starting with the 0.3-megapixel camera found on the SCH-V200 phone launched in 2000, the “first” mobile phone phone camera, as Samsung describes it, and going all the way to the Galaxy A5 that was just launched — and which packs a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, alongside a variety of software features — Samsung describes various smartphones, and their respective cameras.

Other recent flagship devices are present, including last year’s Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5, and all the other Galaxy S members, each having brought something new when it comes to camera technology and software features. Obviously, the infographic seems to further strengthen Samsung’s belief that the future of cameras will be written by the upcoming Galaxy flagship, that should, thus, offer an even better photo and video recording experience than any other Galaxy handset to date.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are supposed to pack 20-megapixel main cameras, featuring optical image stabilization, and 5-megapixel front-facing cameras. A recent SamMobile report has revealed additional features that Galaxy S6 buyers will have access to in the near future, assuming these features are accurate.

Samsung’s new camera phone infographic follows below.
