In addition to launching two new RoadMate GPS units on Monday at CES 2015, Magellan also unveiled an interesting smartwatch that’s supposed to offer users outstanding battery life, though it might not have some of the more advanced features users might expect from such devices.

The Magellan Echo Fit is the newest addition to the Echo Series, and can offer various health- and fitness-tracking features. The device connects to smartphones via Bluetooth Smart, helping them track various activities including running, hiking, cycling, golfing, sleeping, and other activities.
The Echo Fit will count daily steps, distance covered, calories burned, length and quality of sleep, and weekly averages.
When it comes to battery life, the Echo Fit is able to offer users six to eight months of typical usage on a replaceable coin-cell battery.
The Echo Fit comes in two versions, including a regular $129.99 version and a $179.99 model that comes with a heart rate monitor on board, both available from online retailers, according to Magellan.
