Netflix is interested in keeping you glued to your screens for as much as possible, as long as you’re watching content available through the popular online streaming service, as the company plans to release even more original shows in the future.

FROM EARLIER: Netflix finds a new way to get you even more addicted to its shows

According to Vulture, Netflix’ chief content officer Ted Sarandos on Monday said at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference that users can expect plenty of more Netflix shows in the future, revealing that the company may release a new show every two and a half weeks or so.

“I think that we can expand on our original programming … from where we are today to probably as many as 20 original series. So the idea of launching original series or [an] original season of content every two [and a] half weeks,” the exec said.

However, that doesn’t mean that Netflix is about to ruin your productivity by making you binge all its upcoming shows, as these original programs will target certain groups of viewers.

“Not a show or not a new show for everybody, every two and a half weeks, but a new show that for segments of the viewership every couple of weeks,” Sarandos added.

It’s not clear at this time what other shows the company is working on, but Sarandos said that newer content will also include movies, and this new content model will actually start with Netflix movies releases.
