Apple on Monday released the fifth beta of iOS 8, which is available to download to developers and anyone else with access to a developer account – check out the full changelog right hereand MacRumors has already found some new features inside Apple’s latest beta software.

An Apple continuity feature called SMS Relay is now available in iOS 8 beta 5. Users will now get a popup that asks them whether they want to use their phone numbers for SMS Relay on their MacBooks running OS X Yosemite.

The iCloud icons in the Settings app have been changed to reflect various iCloud-related apps, including Drive, Backup and Keychain – the icons show a blue cloud on a white background, with an appropriate white icon for each app on the cloud. The overall iCloud icon now features a white cloud on a blue field.

Speaking of Apple’s iCloud, Apple’s Photos app now shows a “Last Updated” notifications to inform users when the images were last synced to iCloud. Users will also be able to download and keep original full-resolution images in iCloud, and save only device-optimized images locally, to free up additional storage space.

Moving over to the keyboard, a new option allows users to turn predictive text on and off.

Other changes concern Wi-Fi Calling (Apple now properly labels T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling on the top of the display) and Health (support for Spirometry lung tests has been added, and the app has new icons and its own privacy settings in the Settings app).
