The most gorgeous iPhone speaker in the world isn’t even a speaker

Best iPhone Speaker

What happens when a great idea and a gorgeous modern design meet traditional materials and phenomenal craftsmanship? Eight happens. Handmade speaker designer Stark recently unveiled Eight, the company’s latest creation that is like no iPhone accessory you’ve ever seen before.

Hand crafted from beautiful walnut or birdseye maple wood, the Eight is an acoustic amplifier that needs no power to amplify music or any other sounds played by an iPhone. It’s not a speaker, but rather an amplifier that projects sound from two large hollow chambers.

“Eight is not only beautiful to look at. A lot of thought has gone into the design,” the company said in a press release. “The original shape acoustically amplifies the sound of your iPhone resulting in a dynamic playback of your favourite music. You don’t need a power source. Eight elevates your iPhone for a better FaceTime or Skype experience. Because the sound of the microphone and the speaker are separated, speakerphone calls are crisp and clear. Clever features include a slot for the included Lightning cable, transforming Eight into a beautiful docking station, as well as comfortable access to TouchID.”

All that beauty comes at a price, of course. This handmade iPhone amplifier costs $288 including shipping, but it’s definitely a conversation starter that will be appreciated by those who can afford it.
