The only thing better than owning one of the latest and great smartphones on the planet is owning one of the latest and greatest smartphones on the planet without paying a dime for it. With one week to go until Samsung’s new Galaxy S5 flagship phone finally debuts, Verizon Wireless is running a “buy one get one free” promotion that will give customers a free on-contract Galaxy S5 with the purchase of an on-contract Galaxy S5. The offer is great for families in the market for multiple new phones, and subscribers can choose a Samsung ATIV SE or an HTC One (M8) as their free phone if a second S5 isn’t their speed.

Of course, free isn’t exactly free. While you won’t have to pay anything up front for the second Galaxy S5, the bulk of the phone’s cost is built into the monthly service plan you’ll be paying for the next two years.

Even still, a brand new Galaxy S5 for nothing up front is a big win for those in the market for a new smartphone.

Samsung’s new Galaxy S5 features a full HD 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display, a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, a fingerprint scanner and a variety of health-related features. It launches next Friday, April 11th, and Verizon is accepting preorders for the phone right now.
