If you haven’t secured a Retina iPad mini yet, you’re going to have to wait quite a while before you can pick one up. According to CNET, three of the largest U.S. wireless carriers, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, all have the cellular version of the second-generation iPad mini on backorder. Verizon’s earliest shipping date is now December 2nd, AT&T is showing 21 t0 28 days for shipping, and T-Mobile says it could take 6-8 weeks before orders start arriving. The Wi-Fi version is still only available on Apple’s website, but orders are showing just 1-3 business days for shipping on the 16GB and 32GB models. If you’re in the market for an iPad before the holidays, Apple’s supply shortage might make the iPad Air the only viable option.
