In the middle of the busiest holiday season for video games in seven years, the Ouya team has decided to refresh its own Android-based console. The limited edition Ouya is mostly identical to its predecessor, but contains twice the internal storage at 16GB and comes in white instead of black. The white Ouya will only be available in the United States, and everyone who preorders before December 8th should receive the console by Christmas. The limited edition console features a 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, a USB 2.0 port, a micro USB port, HDMI output, a wireless controller and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The new Ouya costs $129, a $30 increase over the 8GB model, and can be preordered now on Ouya’s website.
