The Retina iPad mini is expected to be in short supply through the holiday season and into 2014, so those looking to purchase Apple’s tiny new tablet in a store often need to use all the tools at their disposal. One of those tools, unfortunately, was recently ripped off the Internet when Apple sent lawyers after its creator. Good news, Apple fans: a similar service has returned and it lets you check all of your local Apple Stores for Retina iPad mini stock. Of course, for those who don’t want to brave the elements and deal with stores, it looks like there is still plenty of inventory to be purchased online. At the time of this writing, Apple’s website listed a shipping quote of 1-3 days for 16GB and 32GB Retina iPad mini models in either silver or slate gray. All other models ship within 5-10 business days, meaning orders placed now for any model will arrive long before the holidays come around.
