Whether or not consumers want a smartwatch from Apple, the iWatch is on its way, and the existence of the device is gaining credence with each new report. The latest comes from The Korea Herald, which shares the opinion of DisplaySearch’s David Hsieh, who expects the iWatch to launch with 1.3-inch and 1.7-inch OLED screen variants in order to suit the wrist sizes of women and men, respectively. Apple’s smartwatch might be coming sooner rather than later as well. According to DisplaySearch’s Paul Gagnon, “Apple’s long-rumored TV plans, which were far from concrete anyway, have been put on hold again, possibly to be replaced by a rollout of wearable devices.” This would explain Apple’s apparent decision to delay the iTV.
