Yes, it’s almost official: Apple is getting ready to launch two new iPhone models in September. The Wall Street Journal on Monday confirmed what we’ve known for months now, which is that Apple plans to release a new iPhone 5S and a cheaper iPhone 5C in September as the kick-off to its fall product launches. The news here is that Apple has instructed Foxconn parent company Hon Hai to start shipping both models in early September just in time for Apple’s big smartphone event on September 10th. The Journal says that it’s still not clear whether Apple plans to unveil both new devices at the September 10th launch event, however, so Apple may instead choose to only showcase the high-end iPhone 5S in three weeks’ time.
