Apple has been very quiet so far this year, but Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry thinks that the past six months have been time very well spent for the company’s efforts to overhaul its iOS mobile operating system. As Barron’s reports, Chowdhry has released a new research note detailing his and his colleagues’ travels to several different tech conferences over the past several months, where they’ve interviewed between “400 and 500 people a month.” Their conclusion based on those conversations is that Jony Ive’s redesigned iOS 7 not only “has a very simple, clean and uncluttered UI” but is also “far superior to anything that is available out there.” How confident is Apple in iOS 7? So confident that Chowdhry thinks “Apple will aggressively go with patent infringement for each and every competitor that may have even tried to copy a small feature from iOS 7.”
