As we anticipated, Steven Sinofsky’s departure from Microsoft (MSFT) has opened the floodgates for insider anecdotes chronicling the ways that the former Windows president allegedly failed as a “team player.” The latest tidbit comes from the New York Times, which reports that Sinofsky one time failed to prepare a presentation at an important company retreat and simply told the executives in attendance that they should read his Building Windows 8 company blog if they wanted Windows status reports. To make matters worse, Sinofsky then “answered questions from the audience and then left the resort, while his colleagues remained until the next day, according to multiple people who were present.”
