Sprint (S) this week announced new 4G data plans that the carrier said will offer 20% more data for the same price as the competition. The nation’s third largest wireless provider will offer four plans specifically designed for 4G LTE tablets, including 300MB of data for $14.99, 3GB for $34.99, 6GB for $49.99 and 12GB for $79.99. Sprint will be offering customers who already have a smartphone on its network additional discounts with plans starting as low as $10 per month for 100MB of data or 1GB of data for $15. The company’s announcement comes a day after Apple (AAPL) introduced a new Sprint-compatible iPad 4 and the iPad mini. Sprint’s new plans will go into effect on November 11th.
