Specs for 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro revealed in leak ahead of Apple announcement

Along with the iPad mini, Apple (AAPL) will also announce a brand-new 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display. 9to5Mac got its hands on the smaller MacBook’s specs and they pack quite the punch. The website says the 13-inch Retina MBP will come in three configurations: 2.5GHz with 128GB SSD and 8GB of RAM, 2.5GHz with 256GB SSD and 8GB of RAM and 2.9GHz with 512GB SSD and 8GB of RAM. All three models should be available for preorder after Apple’s big announcement. The new 13-inch MBP is rumored to start at $1,699 and will reportedly have a 2560 x 1600 resolution display, a pair of USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt ports, SD card reader and an HDMI port.
