After playing with a Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 I was severely dissappointed. It was slow and laggy. Terrible actually. Spec wise it is the same as the Asus transformer but no where near as efficient. Why?

Also if you want a tablet why not get one that has useful apps? Like an iPad?

Because the overwhelming majority of tablet buyers use their tablet for email, surfing the web, facebook and such.

There is a chunk of teenage boys and others who use it for app gaming but they are the exception.  As a result the majority of consumers would actually have a better tablet experience with an android tablet (better web browsing).

Apple’s greatest fear is that consumers would be presented with the ipad2 and the galaxy tab 10.1 side by side in a store and pick the best one (hint, Apple doesn’t think they’ll pick the ipad2).  So they so what they do best. Litigate to stop the sale of the better system.

Yeah. Side by side I think everyone besides nerds would pick an iPad

I’d like to argue that they wouldn’t have a better experience with an Android tablet over an iPad 2. The updates don’t come so often and the Flash support is rumored to not be all that polished yet.

flash on android is the shit , the only ones thats spreading that rumor is apple and its fan boys

Um, you clearly have never played with the 10.1 and just talking out of your ass. I have a 10.1 and the thing has barely EVER lagged on me at all. It’s actually so much more smooth then I expected it to be. I do agree as of right now all Honey Comb Android tablets are lacking applications badly compared to the phones. But all of that is about to change when ICS source comes out in a few weeks when Verizon releases the Galaxy Nexus. So in the near future tablets will have over 300,000 apps to choose from once ICS gets on them.

this dude has nothing better to do with his time , stick around for a while, this is all he does all day everyday . just hates on android , pay him no mind

Are they releasing the source code? I’m fearing that they won’t. I mean, they could do it now. Since ICS has been announced and will be on a device shipping soon, why haven’t they released the source code yet so that OEMs can get to work on updates for the phones they already have out and the ones they are making?
