Samsung and Google will take the wraps off of the Galaxy Nexus at 10:00 p.m. EST during a press conference in Hong Kong, and NTT DoCoMo already revealed on Twitter that it will be one of the first carriers to offer the Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered phone in November. BGR exclusively confirmed the Galaxy Nexus will be equipped with a 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD display, a TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, support for NFC and a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p HD video. The Galaxy Nexus will be a Verizon Wireless exclusive in the United States. BGR will be covering the news at it breaks this evening, so stay tuned for more.

Gotta love the yet to be seen specifications… however, you’ve got to despise the Verizon exclusivity.  Ugh.

Wait, did you just use a green penis as your avitar? Looks kind of unhealthy to me, I’m just saying. Not to offend unhealthy people, but if this is the case I’ll make sure to laugh at you from now on.

Apple and the iPhone 4S scared google and Shamsung out of the USA oct 11th. They had to run to hong kong to announce the phone and ICS because they knew they would be laughed out of the country. This announcement will make you laugh harder than the Acer padphone announcement. Google and Shamsung will be dead in two years true story™©®

Samsung and Google postponed the Galaxy Nexus launch event in respects to Steve Jobs. Google is everywhere you moron, how could it be dead in two years? Have you ever checked what search engine is on default on your precious iPhone? Google bitch. And how is Samsung gonna be dead when they produce the greatest technology on earth? So good in fact that Apple wants them to manufacture A9 processors for the iPhone 5. Quit being a dumbass and learn your facts before you start talking shit. Good day sir.

      • Louisnvrr

You know, those specifications are still a rumor… you can’t really “confirm” a rumor. Not that you’d want to; leave a way out if you end up wrong. Doing this just sets you up if you’re wrong.

Probably the only phone out or on the horizon that I would replace my HTC Incredible with…

I was excited about the Galaxy Nexus until I read it will be Verizon exclusive. I was seriously considering going Android this time around, but I only wanted a pure Google experience — so I hoped the Nexus Prime (better name) would be on all carriers, since I’m on AT&T.

    Bummer.

    • Anonymous

Waaaaa! Cry me a river. I’m sure you were perfectly fine with the iPhone being an AT&T exclusive for years. Give me a break. Leave the crappy service and no signal behind and get on Verizon with the rest of the country.

    • Bullet Tooth Tony

The Nexus Prime may be on other carriers… that ship hasn’t sailed yet.  This phone is their Galaxy S II…

    • Guest

if you look at the history of the nexus phones , it will go to other carriers in about six months. but the galaxy s2 has similar specs , i wouldn’t be upset if i had the gs2. i would if had the iphone 4 then upgraded to the 4s

Does BGR always just copy news from engadget besides their own apple tea bagging

Hopefully this will be the one Android phone that can be the iPhone 4S in terms of performance.  lol.

im glad to see you ended your post with a lol, cause i was cracking up also

This is the phone I’ve been waiting for —  a Nexus phone on Verizon.  I own one on Day One.

  • Madness

put it this way…I’ll likely get the phone, but must say that if indeed it’s a 1.2 ghz dual core only, that would be quite disappointing, especially given all the hype about this device.  I’d expect a 1.5 ghz phone at the very least

  • Tareemaa

Nexus Prime just passed FCC with gsm radios for both At&T and T-Mobile (AWS) so im sure itll be available for other carriers

  • Chet Stovepiper

    no exynos?

    • Arkham

Thats no shocker, been rumored for months that it wouldnt be.

  • http://twitter.com/Bauder Justin Bauder

    BGR is wrong.

I can Guarantee this device will come with 1.5ghz Dual Core Exynos.Mark. My. Words.

Everyday , apple fanboys have to show their anger with androids success . I thought y’all were happy with the little screens , and finally getting a notification bar, lets not forget siri. Apple dont even pay you for all of this .

how do you get this so called super phone , and still run to see what android is doing ? for goodness sake , the iphone sold 4 million , what are you afraid of? android only sale about 500 thousand a day, thats not 4 million but its ok. LOL , had to say something to make that piece of shit look special

This Verizon exclusivity really makes me mad!!  Its not even a LTE phone, why would they give VZW exclusive, their 3G is slow as molasses!!!

AT&T HSPA kicks the crap out of VZW EVDO Rev A

    • Anonymous

Every source has pointed out this will be an LTE device, not sure where you are coming from
