We’ll be reporting live from Sprint’s ‘Strategy Update’ press conference tomorrow

Business

This has been a crazy, crazy, crazy week so far, but it’s not over yet. Sprint is holding a “Strategy Update” meeting Friday morning in New York City and BGR will be reporting live to bring you all the news as it unfolds. Will we hear more about Sprint’s deal with Apple and the iPhone? Perhaps. Will we hear more about Sprint’s plan to find a way out of its current 4G jam? Almost certainly. No one knows exactly what’s in store from Sprint tomorrow, but we have a pretty good feeling we’re in for a jaw-dropper or two.

Bookmark this link, which will go live tomorrow morning, and make sure to head there for our live coverage of the Sprint Strategy Update meeting. Coverage will begin just before 9:30 a.m. Eastern.

Sprint FTW! Forget those expensive BS carriers.

    Titanic sinking reenactment?

Maybe if the story included a huge lifeboat… Sprint is in the middle of a turn-around. They will get a partnership/buyout with a company like Dish… They need wireless and Sprint is cheap enough buy now.

        You’re an idiot…

Evdo Rev B or Evdo Advanced would make me happIest. Our 3G network is in dire need of it.

I agree with you. I hope your right and I hope the current equipment is compatible. I just bought a epic 4g touch. The 3g is garbage and 4g (while in most areas of California where I live) still leaves a lot to be desired.

    Let me guess:
     - Sprint is getting rid of unlimited plans
     - Switching to LTE

    • theman

They just said they keep unlimited plans for iPhone :)

        Remember what happened to Verizon?

Why the fck is Zach lying like this they won’t have coverage on this they will steal pics etc like they did from engadget of the apple event. This site is really a joke. All they good for is bashing RIM.and sucking Tim cooks cock behind closed doors.

Now that’s not nice, Engidget never posts anything original; they just re-post from BGR.

    It’s gonna be a hit.

The irony: Sprint ramps up on 4g the same week they finally get the iPhone which can’t use it.

It’s possible the rumored/future iPhone 5 will have 4g ;P Since it’s likely apple delayed/pushed back its launch given foxconn is having issues with the factory in brazil that might build it but who knows I’m just hoping for a larger 4g coverage map that offers real nationwide 4g…

I’m not sure what else they could discuss, short of shocking the world with another device….and I’m 99.999999999% sure that’s not going to happen.

Its clearly good news. They are using the spotlight the 4S release gave them as free press to make sure this strategy update is known…”Lets hold a conference to let everyone know we let them down during our biggest highlight of finally getting the iphone,” yeeaaahhh NO!

    After I have my AT&T iPhone4S for 2 years… then what happens?

Can that same phone be switched to 1 month of Verizon?

Then switched again to 1 month of Sprint?

I don’t understand the point of covering up the address.  It’s not a secret BGR.

Nobody gets in without a press pass, so relax:)

800MHz LTE rollout in 2013 with 2.5GHz wimax/lte expansions would be the best possible things that could come out of this. Given they can run wimax and lte at the same time in the 2.5GHz band they have no need to shut down the wimax network for several years
