Looks ugly….killer specs though would be cool if it was vanilla Android and no buttons. Just a slate and ics and LG you got a winner…..just go back to designing more appealing phones like the prada.

Specs are sweet…too bad LG usually sucks!

More excited about this than iPhone 4s. HD screen on a phone? Yes please.

This should have been iphone 4s specs… Lol! My past android lg phones served me well and is willing to buy this once it becomes available.

This badboy and the Prime run circles around the #iPhone4ass

Looks good, but the icons in the status bar look like froyo.

It may be cheap and poorly implemented, but spec numbers higher than the iPhone make me all wet inside!!

and here comes the iphone 4s….already old….voice recognition …a limited form is already out there and just so you fanboys don’t get all worked up into an orgasm, they didn’t develope it,they bought it

    • http://www.droiddoes.com/ Norm

Google didn’t develop android, they bought it, your point?

      • Drybones5

They bought Android before it was even a working version that looked like a bad Blackberry.  Point?

    • Test

STFU. yes they bought it. They also enhanced it. It is miles ahead of what the original Siri was capable of. Some people just hate for hating sake. It probably makes you mad to see people line up for days to buy iPhones. No one buys more companies than google. Android was bought. Google rarely, if ever, invents or innovate. In closing. STFU!

      • Drybones5

So all Google has to do is add more commands to google voice search?  Okay.

      • Test

it is more than just adding commands.  Watch the video and you will see how you can interact with Siri.  If you really think Google has anything like this you are mistaken.  It will also be a long time before they can match this.  Some people just hate for hating sake.  No other reason.  Deep down you know you want it.  I guess you will say you can achieve this by installing a custom ROM with other apps etc…  I rather my phone and its tech just work out the box.  Apple will still sell 100 million iphone 4s’ and you will say the phone is no good.

      • Drybones5

Siri responds by asking more about the question. That’s not very difficult to add to say making events to your calendar.

Obviously you’re a fucking moron. You add in more commands with more variables for those kinds of commands placing in stuff like what is the weather, how does today look, do I need an umbrella all trigger the same weather event.

If you do a search for something, it brings stuff up from wolframalpha. Same thing happens in Android’s voice search except it brings up Wikipedia or a Google Dictionary page.

Many of those commands already exist in Android such as Text Dad Message Hellow what’s going on. Or Navigate to the Orlando International Airport.
Or Create an appointment on November 20th with Dad at noon. Set alarm to 6am exists in the Voice search app but doesn’t link to the clock app unless you have a clock app that supports that already.

Apple’s voice search is a step ahead of Android’s, but Android’s was there way before iPhone and it isn’t very behind. Because both are web based, Google just has to update the Voice search app and their servers to include these new features.

You think it takes a very long time to make something like this? It doesn’t when the foundation is already there.

@Drybones5:disqus I guess you must be a super programmer since you claim to know so much about what it takes to implement AI?  You make it sound so easy.  If it was easy then why don’t Google work as good as Siri or better since they had it before Apple?  Google should be miles ahead.  Apple is only going to enhance Siri with every iteration.  As far as me being a moron, unless you’re a super programmer that actually gets paid to code, you’re the moron for assuming you know anything. Taking comp 101 in college does not count either. Trust me when I tell you nothing about this is easy to do.  I don’t usually comment on here, but I am tired of you arm chair programmers claiming to know anything about what it takes to create these phones and features.  Any real programmer will look at Siri and be amazed.

      • Drybones5

I’m not amazed because IT IS NOT A GOD DAMN AI. You feed it it a specific command, it spits a result out like a god damn calculator.

AI’s think, this doesn’t think, it computes keywords from what you said.

Siri is not an AI, it’s a Voice Command app

And last, the fact that you don’t think Google, the 3rd largest software company in the world possibly doesn’t have a team of software engineers dedicated to Google’s Voice Command section?

You are a damn fool and you belong to stay on this dumb and foolish tech blog.

      • test

You are sounding real foolish now.  You obviously don’t know what you are talking about.  Just like I said you armchair programmers assume to know everything.  Also see how I can disagree with you without calling you names.  Why are you getting upset?  Do you own Google stock?  Do you have a real vested interest in Google.  I love Apple, but I won’t act like you are over a brand.  I never said anything about Google’s team of engineers.  I’m pretty sure they have a lot.  So does Apple.  I can tell you as a REAL programmer, who is paid very well, not just for websites and trivial nonsense that require no real skill, that you don’t know shit.  Nothing about what these companies do is easy. The easier something is for you to use the harder it was to code it.  I like to call it dummy proofing.  You don’t know the first thing about programming.  Stick to being a user/consumer.  Leave the heavy lifting and the facts to the professionals who know what they are talking about.

      • Drybones5

You’re right, I’m a low level programmer in college, but it doesn’t take someone with a PhD in computer programming to know that this built in app is not an AI.

It follows simple commands from various keywords.

Yes it’s more powerful than Voice Search on Google’s OS, but it’s not leaps and bounds ahead of it. Google can very easily add these types of commands into the app just like they have already implemented instant Navigation.

The programming is very complex but the implementation of it is much easier than starting from scratch.

Google already has it’s own complex voice command system. It can manipulate it more to include more features.

And what do you do, I’m very curious. Cause honestly you can’t seem to grasp the idea of what I’m saying.

I may be acting immature or being a dick, but you’re being a complete moron on your side.

      • Drybones5

Oh, also.  Google bought Android before it even looked like a Blackberry rip off OS.  That’s a lot of progress from the original Android.  Android has been 100% redone since the original OS was bought up. Only the name of it still stands from that time.

i love lg. This phone is and will be so much better than the samsung galaxy s2. For those of you who have used the galaxy s2, the phone gets really hot if you use it for an hour, maybe even 30 minutes. it feels like the phone is going to explode. I think the galaxy s2 is a good phone, but all the fame that samsung has is making it better than it actually is. This phone is really and truly amazing
