Purported Nexus Prime image revealed

mobile

The first purported image of the upcoming Nexus Prime smartphone has been published by GSMArena.com, possibly giving the world its first glimpse at Google’s next flagship Android handset. The image doesn’t reveal much, though it does show a sleek contour and it seemingly reaffirms the presence of a 720p Super AMOLED HD display. BGR reported exclusive preliminary details on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich-powered Prime back in June, and we followed up with additional details later that month. In late August, we reported that Verizon Wireless would launch the phone this month as the DROID Prime, helping to explain why the carrier passed on Samsung’s wildly popular Galaxy S II smartphone. Samsung and Google are expected to unveil the device at a press conference next week, where BGR will be reporting live.

No, I had a Samsung Fascinate and it felt super cheap. That picture above reminds me of that phone. Also, I don’t really care for 4G. I have a T-Bolt but that sucked I couldn’t go a full day at work without having to swap the battery on one of our live demos. I have WiFi everywhere I go and it’s extremely fast. Soo…. Piss off.

Define “felt super cheap”. Is it when the phone breaks every time you drop it? But that’s iPhone not the Galaxy phone.

I reaaally, hope it’s not going to have a huge screen.  Seems like smartphones are slowly becoming tablet sized.

I want to say something about your picture but I’m afraid it would be too easy.  Captions anyone?

As an owner of a Nexus S, the phone in the picture is a Nexus S with the buttons blacked out. The contours are identical, the button on the left side is in the same location, and the distance from the edge of the screen to the edge of the phone (i.e. the screen border) are exactly the same

There’s no way that Samsung is announcing a Nexus of any sort that will be *exclusive* to Verizon. The announcement is Google and Samsung has something “big,” meaning Google’s next Nexus’ details, not no this is the Droid Prime for Verizon, the first device to run ICS — bullshit!
