Apple introduces updated iPod touch in white, brings price to $199

Phil Schiller VP of Worldwide Marketing just announced on stage that there’s a brand new update to the iPod touch, now the world’s most popular portable game player. The update? It’s now available in white, as rumored. The 8GB version now starts at just $199, the 32GB sells for $299 and the 64GB version comes in at $399.

      There is no 2 year contract with an ipod touch….

      Price an iphone without a contract and tell me they are the same price then.

    What a let down, with all these insane rumors, no physical changes in the entire iPod/iPhone Line-Up!! 

    Well except for the “White” color iPod, if they would have at least gotten rid of that awful fingerprint/scratch magnet chrome finish, and used rather a satin finish, it would have been more tempting!

    Apple is making good cash by making use of the last design, and only upgrading the insides, I guess we set our selves up on this one.

    Wow, Gellar….you said they were launchin an ipod 3G… looks like you’ve lost your credibility on reporting anything these days…

    But Ive got to hand it to ya, launching an offensive on the Galaxy S2 security flaw just a few days before the iPhone launch AND at the same time as the products carrier launch ? Brilliant way to keep customers waiting for the iPhone…..

    Guess you’ve finally learnt ur lesson. Even Apple doesnt care for you.
