iPhone 5 Case-Mate cases appear in AT&T inventory system

Exclusive

We’ve just been sent an image of AT&T’s inventory system, and iPhone 5 cases are starting to appear ahead of the device’s launch some time next month. Case-mate, the company that slipped up earlier this month and posted iPhone 5 cases and renders before quickly removing them after we published the images, is the manufacturer of this first round of cases in AT&T’s system. Three different versions look to be headed to AT&T including a hard case, soft case and an iPhone 5 skin. Apple’s iPhone event takes place next Tuesday.

Thanks, Harken21

Saying to someone that they are to cheap to buy an Iphone, I have a 300.00 android phone and i could have a 32gb iphone. do I want one? F*ck no. Who cares if you have android, windows, blackberry or apple. Each phone suits someone different.

I still think the 4s is a Verizon iPhone with a few minor upgrades and Apple figured out how to get the GSM side of the Qualcomm chip to work with a few antenna tweaks. Then there will be the iPhone 5.

But look at the first line… “Cae-Mate” what? Fake.

My first comment got flagged for review?    Case-Mate’s website lists the iPhone5 and iPhone 4S.  From their website….

     It’s Coming: The iPhone 5
After months of speculation, the wait is almost over for Apple fans. A recently announced October 4 media event is expected to serve as the long awaited iPhone 5 announcement. Our inside resources have the sought-after details on the iPhone 5 features, including the form factor and launch date.
The rumors are new iPhone 5 will feature a completely different form factor than its predecessor. Wider and thinner, the redesigned device features an extended home button. The screen size could see an increase to 4 inches.
Also included in the rumors is that the iPhone 5 will be an A5 dual-core processor, similar to the one used in the iPad 2. It will also be equipped with an 8 mega-pixel camera, wireless charging and iOS 5, which features iCloud portable storage capabilities.
The latest report is that the iPhone 5 will be available on all major carriers across the globe, including China Mobile, which has 600 million subscribers. In addition, it will be available in black and white with 16GB and 32 GB options. Insiders expect an early October launch.
Case-Mate will be ready with a collection of iPhone 5 cases. From the slim Barely There to the protective Tough case, Case-Mate is ready with an iPhone 5 case that fits your needs.

Will it be iPhone 5 or 4s?

The debate continues on whether the new iPhone will be an iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S. From our inside resources, it appears that Apple will be indeed launching both an iPhone 5 and an iPhone 4S in early October. The speculation indicates that the iPhone 4S will feature the same form factor as the iPhone 4 but will be upgraded with the latest technology, including the A5 dual-core processor and 8 mega-pixel camera.

I think it’s highly unlikely that AT&T will buy random cases from a manufacturer if they have no idea that it’ll be the right type, potentially wasting tens of thousands (or more) dollars. However I don’t think a case redesign means it’s necessarily a major step, they might not change anything inside, but it does say iPhone 5 on the case though, so I have no idea :)
