Apple sends out invites for iPhone event on October 4th

It’s official: invitations for Apple’s iPhone event are now being sent to the media. As had been rumored, this year’s iPhone unveiling will be held on Apple’s campus in Cupertino, California as opposed to Apple’s standard venue, the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The press conference will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific, 1:00 p.m. Eastern, and BGR will be bringing you all the news as it breaks.

    “4G” (in carrier terms, which is HSPA+) is highly expected, there’s a 99% chance of it happening. Apple would actually be stupid NOT to release with that speed.

    “Real 4G” (LTE and beyond) is a definitely a no go for sure. If Apple came out with LTE, it would mean they solved the battery problems that all others have faced.

    The date the iphone will be released is in the invitation. 10 from the clock. 1 from the phone and 4 from the date to created 10/14

    The one stands for the amount of phones they are going to introduce,  the 4 boxes means it is going to be an iPhone 4.

    Thats what I think it means anyways.

    I’ll call it now:

    iPhone 5 will be a thinner iPhone 4 with bigger screen (like new iPod touch but in smaller package; edge to edge), A5, 8MP, 1gb ram. The iPhone 4 is a great industrial design and I would hate it if they didn’t stick with it or a variation of it.

    iPod Touch will be curved teardrop design. Think about it…iPod Touch has always been thinner than iPhone. iPod Touch has ALWAYS had the rounded back.
