(www.mysimplemobile.com) is revolutionizing the wireless world with new plans thatwill change how people think about, and pay for
wireless service! The company that began the SIM card revolution in 2009 with their innovative B.Y.O.P. (Bring Your Own Phone) program, is shaking up the wireless landscape once again by introducing a multitude of new pre-paid, flat-rate plans on one of the strongest nationwide networks. Effective September 23, 2011, SIMPLE Mobile will be offering a $40 Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Text & Web plan, two BlackBerry specific plans and two 4G Nationwide Wireless Broadband plans that are going to unite mobile users across the US against overpriced wireless service.

SIMPLE Mobile¹s $40 Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Text and Web plan gives smart phone users (including Android devices) more of what they want, for less money. The plan includes unlimited talk, unlimited domestic and international text messaging, in addition to unlimited Web access at up to 3G speeds on a major national network. When compared to the competition, this new $40 Unlimited plan is the best value in the business. This plan rounds out SIMPLE Mobile’s other voice offerings, which includes their $25 Unlimited 15-Day Talk & Text plan and their $60 Unlimited Nationwide Talk, Text & 4G High
Speed Web plan.

Due to popular demand, SIMPLE Mobile will now be offering two unlimited B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own BlackBerry) pre-paid, flat rate plans. The $50 BlackBerry plan includes unlimited talk, unlimited text (domestic and international), BlackBerry Email (BIS), BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), access to the BlackBerry App World and unlimited Web browsing at up to 3G speeds. The $60 BlackBerry plan contains everything in the $50 plan, but also includes high speed Web browsing at up to 4G speeds. Additional information on features and supported devices can be found on SIMPLE Mobile¹s BlackBerry plans page at http://www.mysimplemobile.com/BlackBerry.

For wireless broadband devices, such as GSM tablets and USB data sticks, SIMPLE Mobile is debuting $25 and $45 4G Nationwide Wireless Broadband plans. The $25 plan provides access up to 750MB of high speed Web connectivity for a consecutive 30-day period. For heavier users, the $45 plan allows for up to 2GB of high speed Web access, also during a consecutive 30-day period.

“SIMPLE Mobile is continuing the mission of giving today¹s new generation of wireless consumers what they want. Great national coverage, no contracts and the flexibility of bringing your own phone at amazing, flat rate price options,” commented Tim Garrett, SVP of Marketing for SIMPLE Mobile. “The old way of paying for wireless in the US is dying a slow death. People across the country are quickly realizing that SIMPLE Mobile’s hassle free way of wireless is a better option.”

As with all of SIMPLE Mobile’s wireless plans, these new offerings come without contracts, credit checks, or hidden fees. More information on SIMPLE Mobile and the company¹s new plans can be found online at http://www.mysimplemobile.com.

This is a great deal. You are an idiot if you have a contract with a GSM carrier. After only a few months with an unlocked handset you will have already covered the cost difference and then every month after that is basically free money.

They have the right idea.  It’s the price of the service plan and not the phone price that people are concerned about.   Big Red and AT&T blundered in doing away with unlimited data.

wow… this is great… need to find an unlocked android phone!

  • Anonymous

So, will any phone that works on T-Mo work on Simple?

    • Anonymous

      Pretty much..including the Sensation.

      • Lettcco

So do you have to unlock the the tmobile branded phone first?

      • Trespalos

        No

      • Anonymous

no u dont have to unlock it, any tmobile phone will work because they use tmobile’s frequencies.

      • Neoprimal

Yes, the phone has to be unlocked. A locked phone isn’t about frequencies, it’s about what network the phone will operate with and all carrier phones are locked to their network (irregardless of frequency).
But you ARE guaranteed that most if not all TMobile phones will work, simply get it unlocked or buy an unlocked TMo phone from ebay.

      • Anonymous

No, this company is using T-Mobile’s network. It doesn’t have to be unlocked as long as it’s a T-Mobile phone.

      • Anonymous

Simple Mobile’s website says that you have to unlock all phones.  The issue isn’t that they are on the same network, it’s that the phone is Carrier Locked to T-Mobile and Simple Mobile uses a different carrier ID than T-Mobile.  I had to unlock both of my T-Mobile phones to get them to work.

    • Andy

Yes, I also think any hspa+ phone will get 4g, but i’m not as confident with that.

  • Wirelessmodz

Think the 60 dollar plans been out for abit.

  • Anonymous

I’m gonna get this once my sprint contract is up next year.

  • Gregory Heilner

so how much data do you REALLY get before they start threatening you? 1GB 2 GB 2.5, 5GB? Anyone know?

    • Wirelessmodz

      2 gb at full speed

    • Juances666

      2 GB…

  • Me

Damn if only the iPhone had access to those 3G bands……

    • Essyboo

i wish the same iphone still runs on the edge network

  • Jimkenobi

Good luck getting any service on your account or device.

Unlocked international GS2 will that work?

    • Lettcco

Not if you want 3g/4g. International gs2 lacks 1700mhz umts radio.

  • The Contender

Not like freaking greedy AT&T, or Verizon or the other mf*kers who take the skin of your body for data and text

  • Mitchcan

beware that Simple Mobile coverage does not include roaming

    • zacamandapio

That’s one of the things that people forget when they switch to the MVNOs.  Simple mobile doesn’t include roaming that T-mobile has.  Boost mobile and Virgin don’t include the roaming that Sprint has with Verizon.  Finally, Metro PCS doesn’t include roaming at all (it does but at a cost).

  • YesMaam

This is great for those people who buy their GSM or HSPA (AWS) phones on their own.

    Just to set proper expectations:

    A) Simple Mobile doesn’t fix or replace your smartphone if it breaks.  Just be prepared to use a spare or buy a spare elsewhere.

    B) Simple Mobile may not be around if AT&T takes over.  AT&T will make sure to raise their minute buckets and data prices so high that they’ll be forced out of business.

    C) Simple Mobile doesn’t roam so make sure you have good T-Mobile coverage where you need it.  You’ll have coverage to more than 264 million POPS (T-Mobile’s GSM network) but won’t take advantage of T-Mobile’s GSM roaming affiliates which cover over 292 million POPS nationwide.

Overall I think Simple Mobile is a great value and I hope they remain around a long time.  I don’t know why more people don’t use them in metro areas?  I’d use them over Virgin or Boost anyway.

    • Anonymous

      a) The rates are certainly not exclusive, and by no means the cheapest. Further more, TMO’s coverage is pithy compared to that of AT&T’s (even though you’d have better speeds…given the right coverage).
      b) AT&T massively supports the biggest prepaid reseller in the country, Tracfone (who’s unlimited everything representative on the market is considerably cheaper than SM’s offer, albeit byo)
      c) Resellers of prepaid especially, contribute massively to AT&T’s “new subscriber” column at the end of the last 8 quarters, bloating their figures in lieu of post paid’s growing unpopularity.
      - there’s enough leverage from the resellers market to warrant a little comfort from being extorted by a monopoly of GSM.
I don’t think the merger is such a bad thing for SM, at the very least it’ll improve their coverage.

tracphone is the worst carrier in history, period. I will never touch that service ever again

  • Anonymous

Perfect if not qualify to get a real phone service

  • Essboy

Ppl dont be fooled simple mobile doesnt give unlimited web! Read the complaints of this company before spending your money because they will not refund you.. Its 1g and after you passed the 1g they will suspend your services informing you that you violated the terms an conditions.. SO READ THE FINE PRINT!  An if you have ANDROID DEVICES good luck with that since the internet is always running..

  • Essyboo

You get what you pay for !!! Iphones are STILL RUNNING ON EDGE so its extra slow dont recommend it

  • Mail

I saw this and I was pretty excited and was just about to sign up until I read some reviews about this company. 1 GB cap and constantly having to fiddle with settings to have any data connection at all. It looks like a pretty good deal for feature phone users, but not for me.

  • Fatboifunny

I love this company been using them the last 4 months cell service is great! could make re-uping the minutes more convenient because website is laggy and 1 800 customer service is just as bad. they need a reup app for sure

  • Essyboo

At that being said get metro pcs or cricket the true meaning to unlimited!!!

    • zacamandapio

      And limited coverage?

      • justinaz

My understanding is that all (to my knowledge) Pre-Paid in the US has limited coverage. They usually do not cover roaming agreements and has to be on “Their” network’s towers. That is why they have a different map when you go into the prepaid side of their website.

  • James Douglas

I’ve been selling simple mobile service since they first started back in 09 and they’ve come a long way in such a short time. Glad to see they’re getting more recognition now.

And for the record, yes, ANY t-mobile phone will work with simple mobile. As long as the phone is an original t-mobile, you DO NOT have to get it unlocked first! All you have to do is get a simple mobile sim card activated, slip it in your t-mobile phone, add a few data settings, and you’re set!

Any simple mobile retailer will tell you this and the ones that lie and say that you do are just trying to get more money from you! The best thing to do is order straight from their website if you don’t have a local retailer in your area.

  • justinaz

Simply…. No Thanks, Ill stick with T-Mobile Prepaid. Been there done that. They are kind of shady. The only good part is that your number becomes a T-mobile number and they only have to convert it from a wholesale number if you want T-mobile instead. (if they fixed any of the below then auto rant off now lol )

They can’t take any payment over the phone even when activating with a number port. You have call in to port a number. You can not do it over the web. SO you have to pre-buy and get code from website before you call to activate and port your number. They tell you to call back once you have done that if you haven’t yet.

2gb is their throttle line to like 3kB. Then they text you and when you call they say you are in violation of data terms no matter what you used it for when even not tethering. Um ok… but how come i cant even barely look at email when i go over…. T-Mobile I can just fine over cap and even stream Pandora just fine when throttled.

The biggest problem i had was getting MMS to work. For MOST GOOD Android Phones you basically need a modified UA and picture settings that can be done to the stock mms app (check XDA) or you need one that allows you to change those settings from the Market. Trust me, do that and it works with the settings they provide instantly.  ….  Rant Off

  • samantha

can you guys send picture cause i  can’t

  • sara

I had my number with T -mobile for the last 3 years and after switching to simple for only 1 month, as soon as I paid my bill for the second month, my number went to someone else and now this other person is recieving all my calls/texts ect… And Simple mobile has no clue and refuses to help me with my problem.  Finally I just had to go and buy a new phone and plan with a new number from a different company.  SIMPLE MOBILE SUCKS!!!
