HTC to hold NYC press event on September 20th; new devices in store?

HTC just sent us an invitation for a press event that will be held in New York City on September 20th. We’re not sure what will be unveiled; the company already announced two new Windows Phone devices, the Titan and the Radar, but it is certainly possible we will hear more about U.S. versions of those phones. Perhaps HTC will unveil the Vigor, which is supposed to be one of the first devices to come equipped with Beats Audio and will be sold with a set of Beats headphones. Of course, given the close timing to Fashion Week and the “celebrate in style” tagline, it is also possible HTC will unveil the Bliss, a device that is rumored to be targeted at women. We’ll be reporting live so be sure to check back on the 20th for all of the details as they’re announced.

      There is not a single dual core LTE phone out by HTC on the market right now. Go pick up that one iPhone you get to choose from.

    I’m surprised you guys got an invite given that most of your reviews of HTC handsets are all negative: ‘too big – too bulky – feels heavy in hand – not the iPhone – weighs down pant’s pocket and not use to anything down there – etc’

    Screw the press event. I’m sick and tired of press events from HTC AND SAMSUNG. How about this? Why don’t you A-HOLES RELEASE SOME DECENT GD PHONES IN THE EFFIN USA NOW! NOT AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER, NOT SOMETIME IN OCTOBER. NOW! THE ENTIRE CROP OF CURRENT ANDROID PHONES ARE CRAP WHEN COMPARED TO THE IPHONE 3G OR IPHONE 4.     I expect both the Bliss and the Vigor, but neither will use those names. The Bliss has ho-hum specs but nice accessories, while the Vigor is a powerhouse with an outstanding display… first of its kind. Big price, though.

    Who cares Apple will make changes to their product line after the 20th. Android is for people that like being unorganized and therefore pretend to be something in life. I like iPhones because they’re simple and I can do actual worthwhile things outside of technology. Google started android so stupid people could elevate google services to more people, no matter how ugly and unorganized it was done…like shmidts face.

Ironic that every apple user comes into my store with google set as there homepage bitching about itunes and music cost……or wait you could go through the trouble of jailbreaking it, then its customizable just like a stock droid.       Why can’t you understand that Google doesn’t own Android. I have an iPhone and use Google for search because it’s the best at it. I don’t want to spend any amount of time customizing pointless things. What’s the first thing you usually see on the screen of an Android phone? It’s the weather, why would I want to obcess about weather all I have to do it’s look out the window or remember what time of year it is.
