Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S II press shots leaked

mobile

Samsung is preparing to announce the Galaxy S II for Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T during a press event on Tuesday and one day ahead of the announcement, official images for Sprint’s model have been leaked. We exclusively reported earlier this month that Sprint will dub its device the “Epic Touch 4G,” and it will pack a dual-core processor, a Super AMOLED Plus display, a forward-facing camera for video chats, an 8-megapixel camera capable of shooting HD video and more. We’re digging the textured back of the Epic Tough 4G and it appears Samsung was able to keep the phone just as thin as its European counterpart despite packing in a 4G WiMAX radio. We’ll be live reporting from Samsung’s press conference at 6:00 p.m. EST tomorrow, so stay tuned for more details.

1.5ghz upgraded Exynos chip? We could only hope.

does a slight 300mhz speed bump even matter? the evo3d came out just a little over a month ago and has the same processor speed as the gs2. the phone is not going to be obsolete here in the US for at least a couple of months. either way mobile technology is an aggressive growth industry, no phone can stay on top for an extended period of time.

Maybe to bring the phone up to WP 7.5 spec a la the 8MP sensor.

I hope they keep the textured back on the WP version.

I’m loving this phone! Hopefully, it’s packing Exynos and not Tegra 2. If they also announce an upgraded 1.5ghz  chip, I’m in.

This phone will be cool for a month, until the Galaxy III comes out. Then that will be overshadowed a month later by the Galaxy 3D with a quad core. Which will then be made obsolete by the Galaxy shit ticket 4.5G… which will wipe your ass for you.

Sick of these manufacturers raping people of every penny they can get. They could have jumped straight from 1ghz to quad core. But why do that when you can sucker more money in the long run with dual core.

Atleast Apple pretends like their device is still important to them through out it’s life cycle. Android phones are not even an after thought after 2 months. And by all means, fuck apple, but they know how to market.

So, with Samsung one can get new tech as soon as it gets available whereas with Apple one has to wait forever. As a result Apple fans always use outdated phones (right now: no dual core CPUs, low res cameras, no LTE, no NFS etc.) but they still feel happy because they have the “latest model” of iPhone. Well, if it works for you… Most people will realize that latest iPhone or not, Android users have better phones.

I’m not really into Samsung smartphones but I must admit that this one seems pretty good looking. They should have started releasing it in the US earlier but itwill still be very popular.

Does anyone know for sure what the screen size will be? I have read of rumors of a 4.5 in screen…. Ohh yeah and anyone know if it has a NFC chip?

  • Sprintemployee

Sprint is for blacks.  Most ghetto phone company I’ve ever had the displeasure of using.  WiMax is a joke.  Why even bother putting that kind of chipset in a phone? Coverage sucks where it’s deployed and it’s never going to get built out any further.

While I do see a lot of black people use this service IDK I might go to sprint only because they offer incredible promos and cheapest all around package. But r u saying that ghetto black people don’t use any other service? I had always thought that ghetto people wouldn’t have money for smartphones, i mean its like almost $100 per month. Oh and I’m not black nor ghetto.
