Samsung may unveil upgraded Galaxy S II LTE next week

mobile

The IFA trade show in Berlin kicks off on September 1st and Samsung has already made it known that it will have a big presence there. We’ve heard that it will announce the Samsung GALAXY Tab 7.7, the Wave 3, and the GALAXY Note but now Sammyhub suggests there could be more in store. Samsung could be preparing to take the wraps off of an upgraded GALAXY S II smartphone that could be the world’s first 4G LTE/WCDMA/GSM handset. The phone may also sport a faster 1.5GHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera, a 1,850 mAh battery and a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. The rumor of NFC support definitely has us wondering if this will launch in the United States as the Android Ice Cream Sandwich-packing Nexus Prime, which is rumored to hit Verizon as a 4G LTE phone.

Is it at all possible that this variant is what will be launched in the US in the coming weeks?

The Sprint FCC filing certainly was a tad bigger than the original version.

Would make great sense to me if they kicked off it’s launch in the US now as they missed the boat on the first release?

Dear god … I hope Verizon gets the Nexus Prime.

If the article as stated is correct, this can’t be Verizon-bound. WCDMA != CDMA.

Apple is going to get even more busy with law suits. They are pretty much suing every galaxy models that are selling well.

If this is the Nexus Prime and Big Red gets it, I will be first in line on release day.

History usually repeats it’s self mostly and it will in this case to some degree. Sprint will get the first Nexus Prime that is a definate then possibly tmobile..Verizon shouldn’t see this device at all because they don’t support anything that is stock android nor have they ever had any other nexus device. But I guess first time for everything…
