Verizon DROID BIONIC could launch on September 8th for $299

The long wait for Verizon’s Motorola DROID BIONIC may soon be over. According to leaked internal documents obtained by Android Central, Verizon’s next 4G LTE flagship phone could land as soon as September 8th for $299.99. While that may sound a bit expensive, it’s in line with what Verizon charged for other 4G LTE phones such as the DROID Charge. The BIONIC was first unveiled during CES but has been delayed and placed back in the oven for last-minute tweaks. The DROID BIONIC will likely offer a 4.5-inch screen with a qHD, an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p HD video, a front facing camera for video chat and an HDMI-out port.

      Yes too much damn money.  Verizon will try to get away with it if the market lets it and still stick you with a $350 ETF should you decide to leave later on.  They want to rid themselves of the subsidy as much as they can but still force us on a contract anyways.

    I read about this a while ago, but thanks BGR u reminded me how freaking expensive this phone is.  Screw anyone selling a phone for over $200 on a 2 year contract.

    4.5″ screen?  All the documents we’ve seen over the past few days say it is 4.3;” come on BG, if it was a Apple product you would get it correct.

       the droid charge comes with a 32gb memory card. a 32gb iphone is $299. i don’t see the issue with pricing here…

    I hate to say this been with verizon for a long time but it might be time to switch to sprint.  I can get two moto protons for 400 one for me and one for the wife that would save me 200 also they offer 125 per line to port on their site and I am on the unlimited plan with big red now but that will probably get throotled soon with spint for now they still offer it I am sure that will change.  In the end I would get two comperable phones and crdit to switch that works out to a 450 dollar differance. yes the network is not as good however it works at my house work and anywhere I go and that’s what matters most sure there will be times it might not work but for almost 500 bucaks its a option.  Hell vz is subzidizing squat on the bionic the sub more on the thuderbloat it’s retail is 644 and you get it for 250 the bionic is 300 at retail lets say 600 so worst case 250 should be the price and 200 is competitive. The iphone will be 300 or less most likley and yes I know it’s not 4g and I cannot imagine the htc vigor being more than 300 nobody will get it at that point you migh as well do no contract or get a contract on a iphone 5 since it gets mnore subsidy sell it online then pay full retail for the bionic.  This is a big fail if it comes out at 300 everyone will wait for iphone and htc at that point and they should if bionic is 300

      Exactly. So buy your wife an iPhone, get your sonic and stick with Verizon. Women want iPhone anyways. Old, young, fat, tall, and skinny. The iPhone is the ultimate chick phone = so simple a brainless zombie could operate it.

    I’m tired of these big fat boxy looking Android phones. 

    Give us something hot and sexy.  When I say “hot,” I don’t mean a battery and CPU that overheat when you use Google Navigation.  

    It’s like an ugly kid whose face only a mother would love.  I’m a geek too but I want my phone to look as good as it performs.  

    I almost feel like going back to BlackBerry for the Bold 9900.  I’ve had 10 different Android phones and they’re all the same sans some cosmetic differences, UI or CPU power.
