Purported iPhone 5 spy shot reveals sleek, slim design [updated]

mobile

A new image of what is claimed to be an actual iPhone 5 handset emerged today, perhaps giving us our first look at Apple’s fifth-generation smartphone. Posted by MacRumors forum member guigsh, the image shows a slender smartphone that looks even thinner than Apple’s current iPhone 4 model, jibing with reports that the next-generation iPhone could be just 7mm thick. “Picture taken yesterday in the office of a French operator. Believe it or not,” the forum member said. He continued in a separate post, “We were able to see it only 2 minutes, pictures forbidden of course, so, we did our best.” As far as details about the device itself are concerned, guigsh added, “The only thing I can tell you, is that my iPhone 4 looks really slow now.” Of note, the image shows a device that looks strikingly similar to the Chinese counterfeit “iPhone 5″ we saw in images and a video recently, but it looks much more refined. This could mean that the Chinese clone pictured earlier was indeed based on Apple’s actual design as BGR and others speculated, or it could mean that this is just another fake from the same manufacturer.

UPDATE: The image is said to be fake, first posted here by a Twitter user. Thanks, Ron.

I think it looks great, as thin as ipod touch 4th gen, dual core, retina display, I mean its the next logical step fir apple . Until the next year when the release the lte version. And to allthose haters out there saying,it dont have this and that, apple does extreme testing to make sure there phones work almost perfectly, there is only so much you need in a phone. Oh..and just for you f_ing fan boy haters out there reading this….i switched from iphone to and incredible, and now love my atrix 4g. Love apple, love google, love tech everybody, I hate this people that hate on a companys thinking “they know” whats right for the industry. Just continue to hate and blog about it, it makes you who you are.

i think thats real. it has everything that was described before. edge to edge screen , slimmer body design, and if i am right the iphone 5 covers that are all over japan show that the bottom part where the home button is , is a bit smaller , which is exactly wat we see here

Because opening apps that are usually in the kb ange requires quad processors.

Poeple are so sucked up into this smartphone era. Is not like the iphone is processing multi layers of data at the same time. You open an app do what you have to do close it move on to the next KB app.

“Makes my iphone 4 slow?” lol.

So the “update” is “it’s fake”… but your headling is *STILL* claiming it’s the iPhone 5.
The *HEADLINE* should say “fake”… or better yet… delete all your “fake reports” from the site.

I just paid $24,97 for an iPad2 and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $37,74 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $675 which only cost me $71,32 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from, MetaCent.com
