Best Buy has announced a special one-day sale that will put any of the three versions of Google’s latest own-branded smartphone in your pocket for free. The T-Mobile Nexus S, Sprint’s Nexus S 4G and the new AT&T version of the Google Nexus S can all be had for zero dollars from now through midnight tonight, Central Time. Google’s Nexus S smartphone features Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 16GB of internal storage, dual cameras, a 4-inch WVGA display and an integrated NFC chip. In the case of Sprint’s version, the sleek handset also features a 4G WiMAX radio. Best Buy’s full press release follows below.

So I can have it for free with a 2 year contract. List it on eBay as brand new. Sell it for over 400 and cancel my 2 year contract which will b 325 for AT&T? Hhmmmmmm…….

    • Anonymous

If you want to tank your credit that way, be my guest.

      • serpentor

How would your credit take a hit if you cancel a contract?

      • Greg Rice

Yeah, um, as serpentor said, it doesn’t take a hit. You just pay the 325 fee to terminate early.

    • Anonymous

Ya have to pay for a month of service as well. Not to mention activation fee.

    • IPwn

      All that work for $100.00?

    • Anonymous

Keep in mind that Bestbuy will charge you an ETF as well, in addition to the one that AT&T charges you. Be sure to read the fine print, or you might end up losing more money than you make.

I wouldn’t even spend my time on Android at this price.

    • Jjjjj

But you would spend your time in an android related article….Hmmmmm

    • SteveBlowJobs

Save the cash for you gay porn subscription.

  • Bringit

Only a matter of time before they pay people to use Android phones.

    • Anonymous

      Lol very true.

    • SteveBlowJobs

Well, I’d prefer that the consumers get the money rather than the lawyers, which is the Apple way of competing.

    • Nikkisharif

This is to get rid of what’s left to make room for the next gen Nexus that’s due out soon. Places do this all the time with several items & might I mention this is only 1 of many Android phones, so what’s your point? Not everybody is an iPhone fanboy…last time I checked people like choices & Android give people just that!!!!!

  • http://www.droiddoes.com/ Norm

Too bad DROIDS are so 2010.

    • Marksharper77

      So what’s 2011?

Great phone for a great price.   And it already out-specs the iphone5.  lol

    • frank

How can the Nexus S out spec the iphone 5, when it’s the same spec as the iphone 4.  The 1GZ Hummingbird processor is essentially the same exact processor in the iphone 4/Galaxy S phones.

The Nexus S is really a one year old phone with very few modifications from the original Galaxy S.

    • Anonymous

It’s so “out-specy” they are giving it away free. Lol

    • Anonymous

Yes it out specs something that doesn’t exist yet. It has the same specs as a iphone 4. Btw all other tablets out-spec the ipad how’s that working out moron. My(_)_) /////////D out specs your (_)_)//D.

      • Jjjjj

And Chevy probably sells more cars that Mercedes….so exactly what is your point?

    • Zac Caslin

And you even get a fake curved screen.

  • Anonymous

More phones for the android discount bin? What a shame. Android will be dead in two years.  true story™©®

    • Sam

Actually, its because the new nexus phone is coming out, and Google likes to give us loyal fans nice things from time to time.

      • Zac Caslin

        Sure buddy sure.

      • Tyler Cooper

You realize that this has nothing to do with Google, right? Its a Best Buy subsidy, says so right in the article…

  • DingleBerry

Ive got the Sprint version….Its got to be the biggest POS ive ever used. It cant grab a signal for nothing (and its got the latest update). Sprint killed the free tethering with the update. Im taking it back this week for a Photon. I hope its somewhat better in the signal department.

    • Anonymous

Your solution is a new carrier. If you really love the Nexus S, cancel Sprint first. Then purchase another Nexus S on another carrier. Next sell your Sprint branded Nexus S on eBay for $250plus. Again, it’s not the phone, it’s the network.

      • DingleBerry

Ive been a Sprint customer for 6 years. Their service here in NC used to be good. Their network has gotten worse with ultra slow data speeds and tons of dropped calls. Im in my 30 days upgrade and will try to go with the Motorola because it, from what i hear, pulls in a stronger signal. If not, im moving my line to another carrier. I may go with Tmobile for the Nexus S. Tmobiles coverage here and gotten waaay better.

I just paid $ 23.86 for an iPhone and my girlfriend loves her Dell laptop that we got for $ 38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 42 inch LED TV to my boss for $ 665 which only cost me $ 62,81 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from, GrabPenny.com

    • Tyler Cooper

these sites are a total scam and is basically gambling. dont fall for this crap.

  • Mam2169

I prefer iPhone for 199. Sure it has a smaller screen and no Widgets just application launcher homescreen but I like small screens. Why do android users need such big screens are they trying to compensate for something. If 3.5 inches is big enough for over 20 million users then it must be big enough period

    • Nikkisharif

Well then you probably won’t be getting the iPhone5(which is said to have a 4″ screen) since 3.5 is big enough, right?

  • Anonymous

The Nexus S is a GREAT phone. Sprint is a HORRIBLE cellular network. I’m tempted to jump for the T Mobile version today, fire Sprint then wait for the Galaxy S 2 to land stateside. It’s a shame that Sprint is tarnishing the reputation of this and every device on their network. Again, the Nexus S is a great device on the PROPER carrier.

  • Sam

I like how all the iPhone fan boys came over to fill this with negativity.

On a lighter note, this is an amazing deal, especially for the stock android experience. I’ll be waiting for the upcoming nexus though so that I can play around with ice cream sandwich OS.

Good deal for those who are into the Nexus

Wow… they can’t even give that crap away for free.

Wasn’t the whole purpose of requiring registration to comment on here so that spam etc can be moderated? Every freaking topic on here is filled with the same damn spam about a free ipad and some dude mother and girfriend getting the 12″ rod for cheap!!

    Clean this crap up please.

I just paid $22.87 for an iPad 2 (64 GB) and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic Lumix GF 1 Camera that we got for $38.76 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 40 inch LED TV to my boss for $674 which only cost me $62.81 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from, CentHub.com

  • Tedkord

Cool. I’m gonna get the version that works on Verizon Wireless!

    Wait. What?

  • http://twitter.com/seanps Sean

Does this work if you are not due for an upgrade?

  • Mam2169

IPhone 5 will blow this out. IPhone 5 is going to be nice with small 3.8 inch screen. And plus iPhone 5 will not allow Widgets only a home screen app launcher. We iPhone users don’t need phancy widgetsband big screens. We have ipads with big screens and desktops with Widgets. So yes we need three devices to do what one super Android phone will do but u know what. We like it that way so that apple keeps getting more money from us. U cheap android users get all the functions for less money. How gay.

    • Queeraskf

I’m gay and I own a fagPhone, you gotta problem with that?

  • http://twitter.com/homescrub homescrub

    I got mine.  :D

The only people complaining were the Sprint customers. “Why do I have to pay $10 for 4G?”. And the Best Buy employee acts clueless.

  • RH

Once you’ve had a 5″ screen (dell streak), kind of hard to go back to a 4″ screen, even if it is a nexus ;)

  • Ibrzfld

I returned this phone 2 days ago. Battery is horrible, even with live wallpapers, location, and other things off. Reception and wifi are absolutely terrible. I wouldn’t recommend ever buying a Samsung product.

  • Queeraskf

Glad I have a fagPhone and yes, I’m gay.
