‘Anonymous’ hackers to FBI: There is nothing you can do to stop us

Security

Global hacker collective “Anonymous Operations” together with “Lulz Security” on Thursday issued a statement to the FBI and other international authorities. The release is a response to statements made by FBI Director Steve Chabinsky tied to the recent arrest of 14 individuals with suspected ties to the hacker group. ”We want to send a message that chaos on the Internet is unacceptable, Chabinsky told NPR in a recent interview. “[Even if] hackers can be believed to have social causes, it’s entirely unacceptable to break into websites and commit unlawful acts.” Anonymous did not mince words in its response. “These governments and corporations are our enemy. And we will continue to fight them, with all methods we have at our disposal, and that certainly includes breaking into their websites and exposing their lies,” an unnamed Anonymous representative said in a statement. “We are not scared any more. Your threats to arrest us are meaningless tous as you cannot arrest an idea. Any attempt to do so will make your citizens more angry until they will roar in one gigantic choir. It is our mission to help these people and there is nothing – absolutely nothing – you can possibly to do make us stop.” Anonymous’ full statement follows below.

Hello thar FBI and international law authorities,

We recently stumbled across the following article with amazement and a certain amount of amusement:

http://www.npr.org/2011/07/20/138555799/fbi-arrests-alleged-anonymous-hackers

The statements made by deputy assistant FBI director Steve Chabinsky in this article clearly seem to be directed at Anonymous and Lulz Security, and we are happy to provide you with a response.

You state:

“We want to send a message that chaos on the Internet is unacceptable, [even if] hackers can be believed to have social causes, it’s entirely unacceptable to break into websites and commit unlawful acts.”

Now let us be clear here, Mr. Chabinsky, while we understand that you and your colleagues may find breaking into websites unacceptable, let us tell you what WE find unacceptable:

* Governments lying to their citizens and inducing fear and terror to keep them in control by dismantling their freedom piece by piece.

* Corporations aiding and conspiring with said governments while taking advantage at the same time by collecting billions of funds for federal contracts we all know they can’t fulfil.

* Lobby conglomerates who only follow their agenda to push the profits higher, while at the same time being deeply involved in governments around the world with the only goal to infiltrate and corrupt them enough so the status quo will never change.

These governments and corporations are our enemy. And we will continue to fight them, with all methods we have at our disposal, and that certainly includes breaking into their websites and exposing their lies.

We are not scared any more. Your threats to arrest us are meaningless to us as you cannot arrest an idea. Any attempt to do so will make your citizens more angry until they will roar in one gigantic choir. It is our mission to help these people and there is nothing – absolutely nothing – you can possibly to do make us stop.

“The Internet has become so important to so many people that we have to ensure that the World Wide Web does not become the Wild Wild West.”

Let me ask you, good sir, when was the Internet not the Wild Wild West? Do you really believe you were in control of it at any point? You were not.

That does not mean that everyone behaves like an outlaw. You see, most people do not behave like bandits if they have no reason to. We become bandits on the Internet because you have forced our hand. The Anonymous bitchslap rings through your ears like hacktivism movements of the 90s. We’re back – and we’re not going anywhere. Expect us.

Go get ‘em guys. You have my support, for whatever it’s worth. When  the forces arrayed against you are too great to vanquish in the daylight, revert to gorilla warfare. Never lay down and accept the life that power tyrrants dictate. The world’s wealth and power are hitting a peek of concentration that spells misery and death for those not in the folds, and we’ve nothing left to do but take it back by force. That our force must be dilvered anonymously does not shame our cause of trying to live uninhibitted lives. We seek only what we need, while they seek everything they can carry. Fuck em.

Once organizations such as these are able to form some kind of alliance(s) with other organizations like OathKeepers, progress will be made. Education yourself & if you see fit, show your support. They need it already.

Would be much better if the author were literate.

Maybe anonymous should start “hacking” real targets instead of entertainment portals that people (the people they claim to support and look out for) use for enjoyment in their lives.

Funny, thats exactly what Anonymous is doing as well.

as  long as the group does not cause irreparable harm and sticks to exposing big business corruption and government waste then go ahead. But if they start trying to infiltrate the security if this nation–I will shoot them as they are found no questions asked..
We have problems in the government that need to be addressed in many ways, maybe this will help uncorrupt some of the long time congressmen/women….. government should be responsible to the citizens not big business

All children do stupid things, including this kid… who is going to end up in jail once he realises he isn’t invincible after all.

Go and play some Xbox “lulz security” boys, before you really get into some serious trouble.

I salute these guys, They got more balls than the majority of the people in this comment section. While most of you stand by and watch the government treat US like cattle, these guys have actually decided to stand up against the scum of the earth (Crooked Gov. & Corporations). I bet most of the people in this comment section especially Michale11111 enjoy enhanced TSA feel ups #Fruitcakes

LOL … RIM will stop You !!!!

I tend to agree with you, phones made by RIM (the BlackBerry) are the best phone around today.

The PlayBook is the only tablet that the US government is permitted to use because of it’s reliability and secuirty.
It is the BEST tablet in the world today !!! Hands Down.

Please stop giving this topic attention. The Feds are funding these “hacker” groups just like they’ve done countless times before (on record) to swiftly pass by any resistance regarding proposed internet legislation.

Don’t allow the media to treat you like children. Get informed by doing your own research.

Thanks for wasting my tax payer dollars morons. Thanks for pulling law enforcement off of things that destroy lives everyday. The citizens you speak of don’t give crap about a bunch loser script kiddies living in Grandma’s basement. Every honeypot, trap, sensor, etc. is tuned into to what you do now. Hope you like being raped in the pen.

Whether you like them or not, they’re doing what they believe is right. Are there other ways of protesting? Yeah. I can’t even begin to count the amount of protestors and ’causes’ I’ve seen. They never do any widespread good. 200 people holding up signs and chanting will only get local media attention, if anything.

What Anon has done, though, is step directly in the spot light. Look at how many blogs and news sites that have covered their brazen activities. They’re speaking through their actions, and it’s obvious they’re being heard. Their methods are high profile, albeit controversial. Perhaps next time they find a vulnerability in a system on the same scale as PSN, they’ll keep it private, and let other hackers maliciously use that information instead of publicly forcing Sony to fix it. The vulnerable web sites are the bad guys here; you’re just believing the spin the government and media has put on it.

On another note, the “lives in his mother basement” nerd stereotypes are gone, people, so quit with those unfunny ‘jokes’. I’m personally offended, actually, as I live in my grandmother’s attic.
