Nokia ‘Sea Ray’ Windows Phone spotted in video leak [video]

mobile

A second video of Nokia’s “Sea Ray” Windows Phone has been leaked online. We first saw the Sea Ray during a company presentation by Nokia CEO Stephen Elop. In that video, Elop described the “pillow shaped” backing of the “top secret” device and discussed its Gorilla Glass display. The new video leak gives us a full 360-degree tour of the Sea Ray and we’re definitely impressed with what we see so far. The phone has a thin form factor, a large display, and metal accents on the volume controls and around the phone’s camera. If you look close enough it looks like there’s the typical Carl Zeiss branding around the camera lens, too. The videographer even powers on the Sea Ray and gives us a quick tour of Windows Phone Mango running on the device. Hit the jump for the video.

Was the video taken at a gun range?

Sounds like it is in the factory where they’re making them.

There’s a hole in the camouflage in the top right. Camera or LED?

As if it weren’t hard enough to choose between iOS and Android, now the W7 phones are starting to really appeal to me!

Guess I really don’t see the big deal. Another phone that runs a late-comer also-ran OS that isn’t really taking off. What’s the differentiation for Nokia? Sure, it’s good hardware design, but its the OS and apps that the user interacts with day after day.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Sony laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, PennyJump.com

A Nokia N9 hardware with Mango on it! Beautiful…just beautiful…
In spite of all fanboyisms, WP7 is a beautiful OS. (Severely limited here in Portugal either in maps as in Marketplace).
Microsoft is going the right direction, no doubt about it. And possibly Nokia will rise again (even as a subsidiary). My last nokia was the E72. Maybe I consider buying their brand again…

With the abysmal sales of windows phones, the only thing that can save them is a complete re-branding. Drop the Windows moniker, drop the stupid windows symbol, call it something totally new. Windows will forever be associated with the stigma of bloatware, viruses, garbage, and Vista. Windows mobile has promise, but it’s suffering because of bad marketing decisions.

that phone design is UGLY…  i’ll pass on the first nokia wp7 in hopes that they’ll design a better one. HTC has some nice stylish wp7 headset coming out.

Conveniently, the most important specs have not been leaked. We’re
thinking about the processor, amount of RAM and internal storage, screen
size and resolution. All these details are bound to come pretty soon
though, if the leaks continue at the same pace as until now. So we’ll
let you know when we find out.
