Apple board directors discussing options for Steve Jobs successor

Computers

Apple’s board of directors has been in informal talks with executive recruiting firms and has been discussing a successor to CEO Steve Jobs, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday. Reportedly, the board has also met and talked with “at least one” head of a “high-profile tech company” as a possible successor, although it’s unclear who that person is. The Wall Street Journal also noted that it wasn’t immediately clear if Steve Jobs had been aware of the search or if Apple has been looking behind his back, though he emailed The Wall Street Journal in response to their questions about the discussions: “I think it’s hogwash.” Steve Jobs has been on medical leave from the Cupertino-based firm since January of this year.

The board wouldn’t be doing their job if they weren’t planning for this eventuality.

I am available, cant be that hard. Make something that already existed pretty, slap a huge markup on it and go.

Is Steve Jobs too much a megalomaniac to concede that someone can do his job? He is the heart and soul of that company, at least this is the way it had been marketed when any cutting edge Apple device is introduced to the public. The enterprise “Apple” never unveiled a device, Steve did, and we got down on our knees and bowed in unison.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, WildCent. com

He’ll be the face of Apple forever. They’ll just release videos of him announcing Apple’s future products long after he’s dead like Bin Laden.

No one will be able to replace Grandaddy Jobs!! He will clone himself and the isheep will continue to worship him!! Apple without Jobs is no apple at all.. That’s why I think has made products for the next 10 yrs just to keep apple relevant. I mean continueing to reinvent the same products like the ipod, ipad,
