Samsung QWERTY slider leaked for Verizon

mobile

A Samsung QWERTY slider with Verizon Wireless branding was recently leaked by Android Central. The phone’s slide-out QWERTY keyboard and overall design make it look stunningly similar to the Epic 4G on Sprint, but it’s supposed to offer beefier hardware. Rumor has it the device will run on Verizon’s 4G LTE network and is powered by Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). It’s equipped with a 1GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, possibly a Super AMOLED Plus display, an 1,800mAh battery, a 5-megapixel camera as well as a forward-facing 1.3-megapixel camera for video chats. If it does indeed pack a single-core processor, you can be rest assured this probably won’t launch as a modified Galaxy S II. Depending on the price and release date it looks like the phone could serve as a good option for those who want an alternative to the Motorola DROID 3. Read on for a two more images.

Try the best single core phone on the market.. I wouldn’t trade my Epic for ANYTHING that’s even out right now.. Any screen under 4inches is too small.. I need a keyboard for emails, RDP, Word, and Excel.. And I want 4G with a front cam.. There are only two phones period that meet my needs and wants, I have one and this article is about the other..

Wow talk about old news. This came out like what, 2-3 days ago on PhoneArena and Engadget?

No one reads Engidget; it’s mainly traversed by people in foreign countries who don’t understand much English.

Oh wow look Verizon got the Samsung Epic 4G in LTE flavor only a year after Sprint had theirs in WiMAX!

  • DangerZone23

    The Epic 4G!!!  Nice!!!

On a secondary note, we have some smug ass motherfuckers on this site!

Does Samsung update/support their phones after they release them? I’ve heard they don’t, which would be a point against them in deciding on my next phone.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, LiveCent.com

How many butt fucking goo fans wil buy this piece of crap?

Ewww, yuck. That keyboard is hideous. I like the 1800mAh battery but that’s about all…

I have the Epic, which this device is obviously based off, and the keyboard is fine. It’s not quite as good as the Touch Pro 2 was (best landscape keyboard I’ve ever used IMO), but it’s definitely quite usable and works very well once you get used to it.

Wow, an android phone.  I’ve never seen one before.  This looks interesting.

Their keyboards are hideous! I was checking out the Droid Charge at a Samsung store and I have to say, I am not impressed by the super amoled plus. I really do prefer the color and clarity in super lcd’s like the Sensation.
