Sprint’s Nexus S 4G now just $99.99

mobile

Sprint dropped the price of its Nexus S 4G smartphone to $99.99 on Friday. The Google-branded smartphone originally made its debut on Sprint on May 8th for $199.99. The Nexus S 4G offers a “pure Google” experience and runs the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system. It also sports a 4-inch AMOLED display, a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB of internal memory and support for Sprint’s 4G WiMAX network. If you’re looking for a solid device that’s going to be constantly updated with the freshest OS builds from Google, the Nexus S 4G is a good bet — and its new $99.99 price point just makes it a bit sweeter.

That’s all it’s worth. Cheap, plastic Samsung. N1 FTW! I really hope it’s not Samsung that makes the next Nexus.

Yep, head back to the store; Sprint has a 30-day return policy. There may be some limitations if you ported a number in or had some other sort of credit, but anecdotal evidence around the web indicates that many managers will work with you on something like that.

I bought minea bout 50 days ago, so I’m out of luck. But I love the phone.

(Disclaimer: I work for Sprint. Opinions are my own.)

They told me that I’d have to pay the $35 restocking fee so it wouldn’t be worth it.  They did give me a dual car charge in exchange though.

Should be free. I kept mine for a week before returning it. Garbage plastic, no external sd slot, TERRIBLE battery life.

In other words, just another android.

Actually it’s definitely on the higher end of ‘just another android’. unfortunately, sprint doesn’t acknowledge that there are other operating systems on the market, so this might just be one of the better phone choices if a sprint customer needs an upgrade.

    • http://www.thetechtemple.com The Tech Temple

Haha my battery life is awful too.  I’m gonna give it a few weeks to condition itself though.  What’s wrong with not having an SD slot?  The only thing I miss is the LED notification.  I did install BLN on it but then I couldn’t get the kernel off my phone.

It’s got the best battery life of any android device I’ve used. Not even close to iPhone though. Manufacturers need to get their shit together regarding battery life.

I also installed BLN, but I’ve been using NoLED instead. It throw a small icon on the screen when you have a missed alert, but since it’s a SAMOLED display, it uses little to no battery because 96% of the screen is black.

is this because the new nexus is coming out soon!?!?!

I read this, and thought that I would share this with you:

It’s easy to see why RIM will be the dominant Smartphone
    player in the east.

Apple is an American company; Apple pays taxes to the American
government. The government uses that money to purchase weapons and missiles, to
use against the people of the east.

Android is software made by Google. Google is an American
company; Google pays taxes to the American government. The government uses that
money to purchase weapons and missiles, to use against the people of the east.

Nokia and Microsoft together. Microsoft is an American
company; Microsoft pays taxes to the American government. The government uses
that money to purchase weapons and missiles, to use against the people of the
    east.

RIM is a Canadian company. Canadians love everyone.

Nokia use to do very well out east. But now that they have
joined an American company, it’s an entire new ball game.

    Best phone available @ Sprint

    • Anonymous

Agreed … the BB Bold 9700 is the best phone on the market at this time. The 9900 will take it’s place as being the best phone in the world in a few months.

I couldn’t believe unless I saw it with my own eyes !!!!

      • Jimbo

If this is the category of spam-marketing-drone that RIM is deploying to sell their phones, then I fear for the future of the company.

      • Anonymous

        o no …..

Have you ever owned a BlackBerry 9700?
Probably not. Otherwise … you would know what I mean.
        J.

    • Joe Carioti

Agreed 100%. Before using the phone, my gripes were with the plastic body, lack of LED notification, and kind of outdated specs. Now that I own the phone, the body is solid and light, I have software to make up for the LED notifications, and specs don’t mean crap. This phone is faster than the Evo 3D in almost every way. It’s snappier, smoother, and more responsive. Evo may be a powerhouse with the dual core snapdragon and 1gig of ram, but it’s so bloated that it feels like it’s tripping over itself while using it.

Do some research before you believe that hype.  I’m on the fence because the phone has some performance issues which are supposed to be fixed by an update.  An update that was due weeks ago.
