Sprint may reintroduce mail-in rebates on July 24th

mobile

It was fun while it lasted. BGR exclusively reported back in May that Sprint was doing away with mail-in rebates for an unspecified period of time. According to a purported leaked document obtained by Sprint news site SprintFeed, the limited-time promotion will come to an end later this month. “Duuude, where’s my rebate?” the dealer memo asks. The answer — riddled with errors, though it may be — is July 24th. As we’ve learned long ago, typos and grammar mistakes hardly mean a carrier-made document is fake, and Sprint customers who prefer to buy their devices directly from the carrier should consider doing so before the 24th. A Sprint spokeswoman declined to comment. Hit the break to take a look at the purported letter to Sprint dealers.

Sprint is that company that isn’t ripping you off for $30 every month to be limited to a measly 2 gigs of data on your phone… or $50 or $80 (LOL!!!) to STILL be limited.

    Damnit!

It doesn’t apply to anything over $149.99 so evo3d and photon remain instant

Why do companies like these so much? Their customers hate them…why do it?

    • This

Customers hate them, and don’t submit them. It’s free money for the companies.

When a company offers instant rebates they take a bigger hit on the product at store level, the rebate comes from carrier directly.

Sprint: rapidly becoming more ghetto than T-Mobile.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff, LiveCent.com

Bgr… You should really mention that they are only $50 mail-in rebates as apposed to $100 from the past… Plus it only takes 8weeks…. Before it was 14 weeks….. And last but most important… It doesn’t apply to sprints flagships…. Instant rebates are still available for evo 3d and photon

Surest way to get me to NOT buy your product… add a rebate!

This is why I do my phone upgrades at Best Buy.  Instant rebates for all…

Looks horrendously fake. If Sprint were to drop the instant rebate, they would just do it quietly, no graphics or announcements at all.

That’s from the “Play Book”. Sprint’s internal information pamplet.
