Unreleased Windows Phones from Samsung, Acer, more shown off by Microsoft [updated]

mobile

Microsoft showed off a number of new Windows Phone “Mango” devices during a Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference presentation on Tuesday. The unnamed devices were on stage during a Microsoft presentation, and were handled very briefly so the audience could get a quick look at them. Acer’s first Windows Phone was the first device to be displayed, followed by a pink waterproof offering from Fujitsu. ZTE also had a device on stage, but all eyes were locked on a Galaxy S II-like device from Samsung running Windows Phone Mango. Unfortunately, no additional details were shared surrounding any of the aforementioned smartphones. A video of the forthcoming Mango phones follows below.

UPDATE: Images and video removed at Microsoft’s request.

Really.. Not even a Galaxy S 2 WP7 phone interests you? I am too invested in Android, but it looks freaking awesome…

If it were running DROID OS 3.3 “jello cup” then I might be interested but I could care less since it isn’t.

You know I always find it interesting when people say I am too invested in Apple or Android. I mean how much did you spend on it? $500 or $750 … The new phone is at least $250., then these super expensive contracts cost you at least $1000 a year, at Verizon soon $2000 … so why is that investment so much … Do not get it … I spend about $200 on the apple store and left in a heartbeat … and you know what, it was the best decision I ever made … No app store could keep me with anybody …

Yea the i937 is a real bummer. You twat.

I have the galaxy s2 and the HTC trophy running mango beta. love the Samsung hardware. but i prefer the mango software. obviously the mango powered trophy is my main device.

p.s got rid of my blackberry torch. How do they expect us to care about their brand when the top executives clearly don’t care.

What, pray tell, is a pants-wetting standout to you?  The SGII is an amazing piece of hardware.  Do you need to have your phone bedazzled?

I like WP7 and may consider it in a couple years if it still around but I have my doubts that it will. I have NEVER seen a WP7 outside of the store…

You like it and will consider it in a couple of years if its still around but dont know if you will?

Could you be any more indecisive?

Sad that you are letting whether its out in public for why you should buy it. If you like it, then buy it. Stop being a conformist and think for yourself

        1. I will consider it when it is more mature and more widely supported by devs and carriers. 2. I am not letting the public decide for me. 3. You do not even know so how dare you call me a conformist, you condescending asshole!

      • http://www.searingarrow.com AlienSix

        1. How much more support by devs and carriers do you need? Its on every carrier, they have 44k devs and have over 25k apps in their marketplace.

Wow calling names? Shows how adult we want to be.

I like my Samsung Focus. If Samsung release Galaxy S II specs phone with Mango on it, I will consider picking it up.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. I even sold a 46 inch HDTV to my boss for $650 and it only cost me $52.78 to get. Here is the website we using to get all this stuff,

now THAT is an interesting Samsung phone…

  • Spoken Wordâ„¢

Ya gotta give Microsoft credit for steadfastly throwing money at a platform that only a few “fringe” individuals want. Ballmer and and the boys in Redmond are gonna buy their way back into the mobile OS big league even Android and iOS widen their lead over it.

    DO WANT

  • The Dark Lord

I really like what Microsoft is doing and I may actually switch over to them … The only thing that bugged me from the beginning on is that they call this device WINDOWS PHONE … How about Microsoft Metro Phone or something that doesn’t have windows in it … Since Vista, Windows doesn’t sound right anymore to me …

The one in the middle looks like a pink version of the Nokia offering that was leaked in the video. It’s basically a dead ringer for the Nokia N9, except of course running Winpho7.
