BGR Podcast 001: June 24th

Podcasts

That’s right — we’re here with our first podcast ever (unless you count those one-off BGR Radio shows from back in the day) and we cover what’s what from this week in tech. We even have a special giveaway to kick things off; this episode is sponsored by TeleNav and we’re giving away an iPad 2, so make sure you listen to find out to how to win. This is just a little taste of things to come, so make sure to give us feedback and suggestions so we can get things moving.

God, your whole podcast is all about Apple praise.

I enjoyed the podcast, as incomplete as it is. First of all, it’s been a couple of a days now and the link to iTunes should be up. The fact that it isn’t up is really annoying. Second of all, the podcast ends with someone talking about Amazon and then the podcast abruptly ends. I would have liked some type of wrap-up and conclusion. I don’t know why Engadget/Engadget Mobile/Engadget HD are seemingly the only podcasts that have marked their podcast into chapters so you can skip topics you don’t care about. Maybe someone call fill me in on enlightened podcasts that do the same thing.

TeleNav GPS looks pretty cool. About to take it to Shenandoah National Park for a test run.

    Enjoyed the podcast.

The podcast was good but long.  Maybe break it up into shorter segments, also one sided.  Telenav is a very polished GPS app.

Not a bad first podcast. I would like to see the tempo kicked up a little and a little more energy. Good assortment of topics, Maybe some user submitted discussion. Nice work BGR.

    Hi, Podcast

I loved hearing the podcast.  I would love to win an Ipad 2 to give to my wonderful husband who is so techno savy.  Thanks for the chance.  I don’t have a smart phone.

First effort has promise.  The space is getting crowded, who is going to flip the model to be unique?  The challenge is many already have a habit of listening to competing casts.  What are you going to do BGR.  Been living in Leoville for a long time.

Began well but it descends into an “iOS is the best and android apps are crap” discussion. Redeemed a bit toward the end of this discussion though. Do appreciate each OS for its particular benefits.

Liked the discussion about tethering and how many gigs you get each month too.

Great podcast and nice balance to the general pro-android bias of many tech journalists on most tech podcasts. Kills TWIT and much better than Engadget. Competes well with TIMNP and 5by5 by offering a more serious analytical angle. Horace Dediu’s The Critical Path is still the most mind-blowing though.

Would love to have an ipad.two for my personal shopping/image consulting business. It would serve as my electronic portfolio and mobile/electronic office space. Be excellent to view my fashion/style apps on a bigger screen, instead of my iphone screen. Going to enjoy playing with this telenav app :-)

Why have a huge, clickable “pod cast” picture… and when you click on it… it just goes back to the same page you are already on?????

    Who writes this code?
