Nokia might unveil first Windows Phone on October 26th

mobile

Nokia has announced that it will hold its annual Nokia World conference from October 26th through the 27th in London. Given Nokia’s recent announcement that it’s still on-track to launch a Windows Phone this year, it’s entirely plausible that Stephen Elop will take the stage during Nokia World and do just that. An October announcement could mean that the new phone will land on store shelves right in time for the holiday season, too. Nokia has listed France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, England, and Spain as the first six countries that will receive the first Windows Phone, so it may not land in the United States as quickly. The Finnish firm also said it will launch 10 new Symbian devices over the next 12 months, and we’ll likely hear more about those devices soon, too.

At least 70% of all comments on Apple posts are from haters. What they obviously don’t get is, that by doing so they keep the business rolling and support the BGR model. Why would BGR change this? For pure altruism? I think NOT.

I know that. I wasn’t hating on it. I was just letting the dude know how things worked around here.

Most folks don’t bother with this site anymore if they are interested in things outside of Apple.

Its Nokia … what more can I say. They have phones with amazing quality. It’s just that …. Symbian is down the crapper and Meego devices are only being released to recoup R&G cost. Hopefully Windows Phone 7 will pull them out of this slump. It is one awesome mobile OS now a days.

Nokia has to launch the phone before the apple launches iPhone 5. Also it has to be at par with the existing titans of the smartphone market – HTC Sensation and Samsung Galaxy S II.

Now this might be just a start for nokia and Windows Mobile OS but they would have to start at some point of time as they are in the same smartphone market.
