Cricket to test its first 4G LTE network in Tucson later this year

mobile

Cricket will start to test the first installment of its 4G LTE network in Tucson, Arizona, the carrier confirmed in a recent interview with PCMag. Cricket’s vice president of device development, Matt Stoiber, said testing will begin during the second half of this year and that it will use Huawei’s E397 dual-mode USB modem preliminarily. The company has inked a roaming deal with LightSquared and has set a March 2012 target date for the first commercial LTE products to become available for its customers. USB modems will populate Cricket shelves first, followed by 4G LTE phones once the tech has evolved enough to make them cheaper and slimmer with good battery life. PCMag also suggested that Cricket’s next markets could include Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and Phoenix.

Makes sense. Tucson is a trashy part of AZ. Of course they should get 4G LTE before Phoenix or any of the other developed cities!

Ummm no. Absolutely nothing to do or see in Tucson. The only reason to
be there is if you know someone there or were unfortunate enough to be
born there. Phoenix is huge. It has nice parts and trashy parts just
like any capital city. There is a lot to do in phoenix or a city right
against its border. In Tucson you have nothing except dirt and an
        awesome senoran hotdog joint.

I guess it depends on your preference.  I enjoy Tucson.  I was born in Phoenix and lived in Chandler however I enjoy a more quiet town.  Tucson is still a large city, but it is spread out and I enjoy that.  There is stuff to do there and if you are really craving a night of adventure Phoenix isn’t that far of a drive.  I just think Phoenix is too big for my liking, to each there own.

Cricket is going to launch LTE before AT&T? Like, what has American Telegraph been doing with their customers’ arms and legs?
