LG Revolution now just $99.99 at Wirefly

mobile

It’s not every day we come across a brand new Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphone for under $100. In fact, the only other occasion we can recall is Amazon’s $99.99 HTC ThunderBolt sale from earlier this month. Starting immediately, however, Wirefly customers upgrading to a new Verizon smartphone or opening a new account can snag the the LG Revolution for the same great price — just $99.99. BGR reviewed the LG Revolution earlier this month and found it to be the most well-rounded LTE smartphone to date. While its display couldn’t match the DROID Charge’s Super AMOLED Plus screen and the UI couldn’t top the ThunderBolt’s Sense, the build trumps both those phones and the handset more than powerful enough to get the job done.

So true. And still none of them can touch the unit sales of the iPhone, not to talk of how much money it makes.

Looks like a nice deal, but I’m still happy with my rooted thunderbolt!

@9b28927114590e179c8d0f279d5c9d6e:disqus , I rooted my original Droid, haven’t rooted Thunderbolt yet…I have been googling how to root the Tbolt.  Can you point me in the right direction so I don’t brick my phone?

Android phones have TOTALLY ruined the excitement about new phone releases, new phone technology, new phones. period. Every week there is a new android (or old phone at a discount) that looks exactly like the one released last week, but yet in a month it wont be able to run the next hot app!!!! pathetic. I love what android phones can do, but I hate everything android stands for. Android GTFOH.

Agreed.  In many cases a person can never feel comfortable buying an Android device, especially people who love gadgets.  You’ll either buy a device that will be priced lower soon and specs surpassed shortly or you can end up like all the other wannabe geeks that have phones on like 3 different services because they couldn’t make up their mind about which phone to buy.  Although the latter group are probably idiots and just wasting money, I wonder how many people out there have left a boatload of ETF fees by jumping back and forth between carriers and added a new line of service just to get the new phone.

I’d be interested to see how many Android devices are actually purchased at the launch price.  It’s easy to sell a lot when you have a decent platform AND the prices are being slashed shortly after release.  Imagine if Apple slashed the iPhone price 3 months after release.  But Apple doesn’t have to do that because it’s not dime a dozen device. This is the effect of having too many Android manufacturers.  Everyone has a new device but only a few can actually have good sales.  Just like the PC industry.  In the end there will only be 2 or 3 manufacturers that will sell while the rest just barely do anything.

After the way I was treated by Wirefly I would never order another phone from them.
