It’s now offering the HTC ThunderBolt and Motorola DROID X 2 for $99.99, the Samsung DROID Charge and LG Revolution for $149.99, the HTC Incredible 2 and HTC Trophy for $49.99, and the PlayStation Certified Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY for just a penny. Going to have to bookmark this for when my contract with AT&T expires next August.

You do realize that these deals expire, right?

I mean the website in general.  Why would I want any of these phones in a year and a half?

  • yay verizon

it only lets you get those prices if you aren’t an existing customer, it’s $199 for an upgrade

Not eligible for upgrade until july 7th… Otherwise looks to eb a great deal!

Typical Android POS phones…. Have to basically give them away to compete with Apple.

    • MicroNix

Just because Apple doesn’t have sales for their loyal customers like nearly every other company in existence, doesn’t mean every other phone sucks.  If Apple has people that are dollar foolish enough to pay full price and give them insanely overkill margins, then good for them.  Paying full price for anything is something most consumers laugh at…and I am laughing at you right now!

Shut the fuck up! Don’t read the Android posts if they don’t interest you. No need to be a dick.

My favorite part about iOS is that its made for children that think they have a smart phone.  I remember a product like this 20 years ago.  I believe it was called “My First Sony.”

I’m going to be completely honest for once. Android is a half-baked POS OS. But I hate apple so much that I’ve come to love DROID.

Impostor! What have you done to Norn!

Would it kill you guys to put “for new customers only” somewhere in your articles? It might be good for page hits, but it’s lazy journalism.

    • 30z

Wirefly has much better deals, even if your are an existing customer

  • http://twitter.com/demiroquai demiroquai

Yeah… this didn’t work. As an existing VZW customer, the Xperia came up at $99. Did I do something wrong or does the sale start on a different day? I even tried as a new customer and it came up with the same pricing.

  • http://apple.com Yes_iHave_an_iPhone

Ha thats $99 more than its worth!

    • Bringit

      agreed.

  • CatLuvr500

Existing customers can get it for $199.99 with a discount after that, but it’s more than $99.00.

  • Amac0923

BGR please update your article with, “We’re sorry we fudged the info just to get attention…the Experia Play is NOT actually .99″!!! Please do this to maintain what little credibility you have remaining!

Dear Editor:  If you are a “Verizon Wireless subscriber looking to save some money for summer barbeques” the Thunderbolt is either $149.99 (individual plan) or $199.99 (family plan)  The $99.99 price is only if you are an “ATT subscriber looking to save some money by switching service providers.”  Please stop with the false advertising…

no way in hell I would EVER trust an online company..even if it was $.01 and activation was free..god knows what you would have to deal with if there was ever an issue and you NEED to keep you plans for 6 month as they are
