During Microsoft’s Windows Phone Mango press conference in New York today, the company confirmed that Nokia’s first Windows Phone devices will run the newest Mango operating system when they’re released. That suggests that the phones could land as soon as this fall, when Mango makes its debut. Microsoft also confirmed that it already has Nokia prototype devices running in its labs today. Other new partners include Fujitsu, Acer, and ZTE, and Microsoft said that we can expect new Windows Phones from Samsung, HTC, and LG as well.

I agree. Nokia and WP7 is a great thing for users who are tired of iOS and Android.

Microsoft is trying hard with the
window7.5 phone to stand apart for good from the mobile space kings (ANDROID
and Apple) but, may be Microsoft will still have to wait for the features of
much awaited iOS 5 and Ice Cream sandwich to be disclosed. Apart from the IE9
browser, there are 2 features among the reported 500 features of Mango, those
are Quick Cards and Local Scout. Though both the features are identical, the
Local Scout will give the info about the events happening in the neighborhood
whereas, the Quick Cards displays all the info about a searched item in Bing.

Always liked Nokia’s hardware. I can’t wait to see what they come up with now that WP7 Mango is going to be on their 1st device. If it comes to Verizon, I’m game.
