Verizon activating 23 new 4G LTE markets on June 16th

mobile

Verizon announced on Monday that it will activate its blazing fast 4G LTE network in 23 new markets on June 16th. The service will soon be available in Hartford, Connecticut; Harrisburg, State College, and Erie, Pennsylvania; Dayton and Springfield, Ohio; Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina; Sacramento and Fresno, California; Spokane, Washington; Boise, Idaho; Salt Lake City, Utah; Flint, Grand Rapids, and Lansing, Michigan; Indianapolis and Forth Wayne, Indiana; and Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha and Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. Verizon also said that it will expand its existing 4G footprint in Detroit and the San Francisco Bay area, and that it remains on course to fill out its entire 3G footprint with 4G data connectivity by the end of 2013. So far we’ve reviewed two 4G-capable phones from Verizon — the HTC ThunderBolt and the Samsung DROID Charge — and the carrier’s LTE network has blown us away on both devices.

True story: The phone was fully charged when the speed test began. After the speed test, the battery was at half charge. LOL

I have the phone the battery life isn’t great but it lasts a day. I Bentley eats more gas then a mid sized Ford…. What did you except for the battery life to increase with 4G?

My iPhone battery life barely lasts me 12 hours on 3G.

droid charge has battery life similar to 3g droids.

I get anywhere from 13 to 16 hours battery life on my Charge running LTE all day long w/no Juice Defender….I don’t know why people say the battery life isn’t good. They must have never had an HTC phone before. HTC = Have To Charge

Apple not only pays BGR for posting >50% Apple stories, but for product placement as well!

Meh, that’s a business. How they choose to run it is their choice. How and if you choose to use their product is your choice.
