Verizon’s Motorola DROID X2 now available for $199.99

mobile

The Motorola DROID X2 from Verizon Wireless, just announced yesterday, is now available on the carrier’s website for $199.99 with free overnight shipping. It won’t be in Verizon stores until May 26th, but we’ve confirmed that you should be able to pick up a DROID X2 in Best Buy retail locations now. While we’re a bit disappointed that the DROID X2 doesn’t stray far from the original DROID X’s industrial design, the phone packs some beefier hardware. For one, it’s the first smartphone on Verizon’s shelves to offer NVIDIA’s 1GHZ dual-core Tegra 2 chip, and it also comes equipped with a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, and 8-megapixel camera capable of recording HD video, and runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) out of the box. Hit the jump for a link to Verizon’s website.

I don’t think it runs gingerbread yet, I think its upgradeable to 2.3 but has a new version of motblur already on it.

  • steve dave

4G-LTE capable? People want the (now dead) Bionic.

    • Anonymous

As far as the internals are concerned, this phone seems to basically be the Bionic without 4G.

If you’re not in a 4G market (or one that’s going to show up in the near future), this could be a righteous get.

Look over there! It’s Gingerbread out of the box! And look over there! Pigs are flying! And look over there! The Lions just won the Super Bowl!

BGR should post an article that this is the new iPhone coming late summer.  Then watch all the iTards drool and squeal, pull out their wallets and walk around dazed until the day they can stand in line for hours for it.  Flingit and crew would be waking up in puddles just dreaming about it.   As long as it had an Apple logo on it, it would be worth more than gold and allow us to here Steve’s supreme voice tell us how everything has changed…again.

Don’t be sad and hate because some people choose quality over quantity.

      • Nex_1975

This kid…haha.  I have never seen someone so in love with a cellular device or proclaim that it is the best phone up and down 24/7.

      • Bringit

Ahh kid you must be new around here…haha.  You want to see mastabatory love of a device?  Look for PAPIsmear and Steve Hillshire wax each other all day over Androidanus love.

I never said the Android crowd doesn’t have their equal share of immaturity.

      • Steve Hillshire

Since you preach how no Android phone sells more than the iPhone, I guess your statement here makes sense.  Nice compliment for Android!

      • Bringit

No single Android phone has sold more than the iPhone, that is correct.   That is a compliment?  Ok then @82636ea1a5daf7d66d16ffcc621e4c62:disqus  .

      • Steve Hillshire

Because that means quality (android) over quantity (apple) you genius. I knew even someone like you would see the light sooner or later…

seems like a decent phone – and it’s neither from korea or taiwan.
Only bummer is the Mongroid-OS. And nobody even sems to know with which brainwash-level it’s getting sold. I hope MOTO will have it as WinMobile soon.
