LG Revolution to launch on May 26th from Verizon Wireless

mobile

Next Thursday is shaping up to be a huge day for Verizon Wireless subscribers. The nation’s top carrier has already confirmed the launch of Sony Ericsson’s Xperia PLAY on that day, and the DROID X2 looks set to drop on the 26th as well. Now it appears as though the LG Revolution will be hitting store shelves on May 26th, too. The LG Revolution will be yet another Froyo phone with a 4.3-inch WVGA display, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a front-facing camera for video chat, 720p HD video capture support and an HDMI-out port. Hit the jump for a purported spec sheet from Verizon Wireless.

99% chance it is vulnerable to account credential theft.

My phone has 0% chance of being comprimised.. Because I dont do stupid shyt with it.. And hackers can break into what ever system they feel like.. Just ask Sony, or you know the U.S. Govt

After using this for a week in testing, found it to be less than steller… it’s a thunderbolt clone… bad battery and all. But I did like the netflix ap that came with it.

Awesome, 3 phones nobody cares about.

How about announcing some Galaxy S 2 love on Verizon. Or at least something about the Bionic other than another delay.

another android flop.. until they can fix their battery problems, I’ll pass

Battery issues seem to be with LTE devices.  Could that be the reason there’s a rumor that Apple isn’t trying to bring a LTE device this year?  Maybe because they can’t get it right yet either?

Apple places a premium on battery life. The first iPhone didn’t have 3G for that very reason.

It’s a choice. That’s it. Can’t you fanboys stop and think for once? Oh, and to head off any claims that I’m an Apple fanboy, I posted this on my Droid 2.

I get 12 hours of above normal use on my Epic 4G with widgets and live wallpapers and two gmail accts.. It’s overblown, and I still have a spare battery just in case, wow battery life magically doubled..

12 hours is nothing to brag about

Another irrelevant phone from Verizon. What will they be releasing next weeek? The Thunderbolt 2?

Verizon is killing the value of phones. Instead of putting out a new device every other day, they should be focusing on geting that sub par LTE up up to par.

Sub-par LTE? You fuckin kidding? Enjoy your wimax that you’re apparently using. This isn’t Clear.

Clear is great Ive been hittin 7+mbps all over So Cal and Clear has more 4G users than everyone else in the U.S. combined

Aw come on BGR, what we REALLY needed to know is if the LED flash is detached from the camera!!

all the android phones are getting seriously out of hand.
how about 2/3 really solid phones every 6 months? Not 4 new ones every day.

    Getting old

    • Anonymous

Yea because Verizon users already heard about the phones on other carriers and overseas so they won’t want this one..

Dammit Im not gettin the Revolution even though Im due for an upgrade on VZW.. LG just released a similar phone on a totally different carrier that is incompatible with mine.. If I just had less choices I could somehow strangely upgrade to the phone that suits my needs easier…

Maybe its just me..but these touch phones on Verizon all look the same…same shit different pile.
Let’s seem some innovation here….I’m not dissing any one brand, just in general. Let’s see something ground breaking, and NO the iPad2 doesnt count lol

This is because in any product the market tends to center on one basic design. That design is due to it being the overall most popular and in smart phones ALL companies now tend to focus on the same central theme.

It has nothing to do with Verizon, Android, iOS, etc… just consumers and what the greater majority have purchased.

    • Steve Hillshire

They need to focus on getting the S2 which every sight has given near perfect reviews and even said will be comparing with the *next* iPhone instead of the dated iPhone 4.  Why would anyone buy any of these other phones knowing this one is just around the corner (unless they really hate Samsung *that* much)

      • Steve Hillshire

        “site” that is…

There’s going to be some awesome LTE phones available for free this holiday!
